Air China confirms: One flight's engine caught fire and an alternate landing in Singapore
On the afternoon of September 10th, an Air China flight departing from Chengdu made an emergency landing in Singapore after its left engine caught fire.
According to @ CFA Chengdu Feiyou Association, on September 10th, Air China CA403 flight A320-271N had an emergency situation as it was about to arrive in Singapore and had a departure of 7700.

Singapore Changi Airport announced through its Facebook account that the CA403 flight, which departed from Tianfu International Airport at 11:05 am, suddenly experienced smoke in its front cargo hold and restroom while en route to Singapore Changi Airport. At around 4:15 pm, the flight landed at Runway 3 of Changi Airport, and all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated. The fire on the left engine has now been extinguished.
