Agricultural Bank of China: Even after being dismissed, I didn't know that my identity was fake and that I had been "stolen" for thirty years. My identity is Zhu Lichun
On September 19th, China National Radio and Television reported that Zhu Lichun, a woman from Changchun, had been impersonated by Xie for thirty years, which attracted social attention. On the afternoon of the 20th, the reporter learned more details about the case from the Green Garden Branch of Changchun Public Security Bureau, while the Changchun Branch of Agricultural Bank of China stated that the bank did not know that "Zhu Lichun" had fabricated her identity until she was dismissed.
The investigating police officer from the Green Garden Branch of Changchun Public Security Bureau told reporters that in March 2021, after receiving a report from Zhu Lichun, the police immediately conducted an investigation and evidence collection on Jie, who confessed to impersonating Zhu Lichun's identity. After investigation, it was found that Mr. Jie originally had a rural household registration in Jiutai. In 1993, his father, who worked at a branch of Agricultural Bank of China, learned that Agricultural Bank of China was recruiting a group of savings agents, and the application requirements needed to meet the requirements of "high school graduation" and "urban household registration in Changchun City." In order to ensure that his daughter could smoothly enter the workforce, Mr. Jie found an acquaintance from Changchun, Mr. Zhu. At that time, Zhu's daughter Zhu Lichun was unemployed at home, and both girls were born in 1974. Zhu agreed to lend Zhu Lichun's identity to Jie.
This led to the controversy of Zhu Lichun being "stolen" for thirty years.
Jie worked at the Agricultural Bank of China Green Garden Branch before being dismissed
"After investigation, it was found that Jie had no experience attending Changchun Computer Vocational School." The investigating police officer said, "After joining Agricultural Bank of China, Jie took the exam for Jilin Provincial Radio and Television University on her own, and her current diploma is also Jilin Provincial Radio and Television University."
During the investigation, the police discovered that Jie was pregnant. "We initiated the arrest request procedure for the crime of using false identity documents. After examination by the procuratorial organs, they found that the facts were unclear and the evidence was insufficient. After the deadline for handling the case expired, the Green Garden Public Security Bureau made a decision to withdraw the case." The police said that after verification, it was found that Jie has given birth.
After joining the Agricultural Bank of China Changchun Green Garden Branch, Jie has been working as Zhu Lichun. "She started as a temporary staff member and worked as a savings agent. At that time, the recruitment requirements of Agricultural Bank of China were only that she should be no more than 35 years old, graduated from high school, and have an urban household registration." Wang Chunqing, Director of the Office of Agricultural Bank of China Changchun Branch, said, "At that time, recruitment did not require professional skills, as long as pre job training was required."
In 2000, Jie officially signed an employment contract with Agricultural Bank of China. Wang Chunqing said that the identity and file information submitted by Jie had been tampered with and the information was complete. "We never knew that her identity was fake," Wang Chunqing said.

Wang Chunqing said that in 2020, during the internal screening of "employees running businesses" by Agricultural Bank of China, it was found that Jie had engaged in such behavior. "We asked her to handle it on her own, but she did not handle it and has been absent from work for several consecutive days. Therefore, we ultimately dismissed her based on this reason," Wang Chunqing said.
"Do you mean that Jie's dismissal has nothing to do with identity fraud?" the reporter asked.
"Yes, we didn't know until the police investigated," said Wang Chunqing.
"This is impossible!" Zhu Lichun said confidently, "If it weren't for being discovered, why would Mr. Jie take the initiative to seek compensation from me? The 'intermediary' who approached me at the time was saying, 'The bank found out that Mr. Jie's identity was fake and ordered her to resolve this matter within three days, otherwise she would be dismissed.'"
"Why is it still written 'Former Agricultural Bank employee Zhu Lichun' in the 'Opinions on Handling Visiting Matters of Agricultural Bank of China' given to Zhu Lichun, even though it is known that Jie has falsified his identity?" The reporter asked, but Agricultural Bank of China did not respond.
"Before being dismissed, Jie had been in a divorced state, and we don't know if she was pregnant, nor did she raise the issue herself." Wang Chunqing said that currently, Agricultural Bank of China is assisting relevant departments in handling Zhu Lichun's medical insurance, social security, and other issues. "We Agricultural Bank of China, like Zhu Lichun, are both victims."
Regarding whether her father lent her identity to Jie, Zhu Lichun said that she had asked her father and there was no such thing. "I am very certain that my father doesn't even know her father," said Zhu Lichun. "Xie claimed my vocational school admission notice by pretending to be a 'middleman' himself." Next, Zhu Lichun will consider filing a civil lawsuit against Xie himself.
