Under the coordination of the Office of the Fire Safety Professional Committee of Nanmatou Road Street, in the first half of this year, 27 residential areas in the jurisdiction conducted a row by row survey of elderly individuals living alone in the community, without missing any households; Arrange social workers, building leaders, and volunteers to strengthen publicity for elderly people living alone and their families through telephone contact, door-to-door visits, etc., and explain in detail the necessity of installing smoke detectors and alarms; And conduct statistics on the number of elderly households with installation intentions, and carry out subsequent information registration and other work.

After preliminary investigation and summary, starting from the second half of this year, the street will gradually arrange for the installation of smoke detectors in households. Accompanied by the staff of the neighborhood committee, professional technical personnel from a third-party company are responsible for on-site installation. As of now, more than 700 households have completed the installation. During this period, every household visited by the staff will popularize daily fire safety knowledge to residents, provide detailed instructions on the use and various functions of smoke detectors, and conduct on-site performance testing after installation is completed.
