Accelerate the construction of the Taicang to Fourth Regiment section of the Shanghai Suzhou Tong Railway

The reporter recently learned that an inspection team composed of the Industrial Product Review Agency of the Shanghai Quality Inspection Institute and the Market Supervision Administration of Pudong New Area conducted a routine inspection of the Shanghai Caolu Beam Factory of the China Construction Eighth Bureau after obtaining the production license. This is also the first railway beam factory in Pudong New Area to pass the production license review, marking that the Caolu Beam Factory has fully developed the ability to mass produce qualified and stable box beams, laying the foundation for accelerating the construction of the Taicang to Fourth Regiment section of the Shanghai Suzhou Tong Railway.
The sixth section of the Taicang to Situan section of the Shanghai Suzhou Tong Railway, undertaken by China Construction Eighth Bureau, runs from the Outer Ring Canal to Shanghai East Station, with a total length of 27.905 kilometers, passing through Gaodong Town, Caolu Town, Heqing Town, and Zhuqiao Town. The route is mainly composed of bridge structures, and along the way, it needs to cross Dongchuan Highway, Shanghai Shaanxi Expressway, Longdong Avenue, Huaxia Elevated Road and its ramps, Metro Line 2, S1 Yingbin Expressway and Maglev Line, etc. A total of 624 box girders of two specifications, 24.6 meters and 32.6 meters, are required.
The Caolu beam making field covers an area of 147 acres. The person in charge of the beam making field introduced that all 624 box girders required for the project will be completed in the beam making field. The monthly production capacity of the beam yard can reach 42 beams, with a maximum storage capacity of 110 beams. On the beam making pedestal, after the box girder is completed, it is lifted by a lifting machine to the storage pedestal, and then transported by a beam transport vehicle to the side of the on-site bridge erecting machine, which is then erected on the bridge pier. "The installation of box beams shall be carried out according to the beam erection route. Starting from the nearest place to the beam fabrication yard, the beams shall be erected all the way from near to far."

On May 27th of this year, the Caolu Beam Making Plant successfully poured its first box girder, which later passed the pre inspection of the national railway product production license. Recently, it was issued a production license and underwent a full coverage routine inspection after passing the license. The Caolu beam making field regards the construction of a "smart and intelligent beam field" as an important goal. In order to improve construction efficiency and quality, the beam yard adopts an intelligent construction site control platform, AI panoramic high point inspection robot, AI safety dress management system, combined with railway prefabricated box girder concrete full beam distribution and delivery integrated machine, unmanned loader, prestressed cutting and threading integrated machine, welding machine, intelligent distribution box and other equipment, to build a technologically advanced, stable and reliable intelligent construction site management system.
The reporter learned from the scene that the construction of Section VI of the Taicang to Situan section of the Shanghai Suzhou Tong Railway is currently accelerating, with 403 platforms completed along the entire line, accounting for 56.1%; 317 pier bodies, accounting for 44.2% of completion. 28 prefabricated box beams have been completed, and it is expected to start the beam erection work by the end of November. In addition, the construction work of some continuous beams and cast-in-place box beams in the line has also been carried out.
The Taicang to Situan section of the Shanghai Suzhou Tong Railway serves as an auxiliary channel for the Shanghai Hanrong Corridor and the Beijing Shanghai Railway. It mainly undertakes intercity passenger exchanges between Shanghai, southern Jiangsu, and northern Jiangsu, while also serving medium and long-distance passengers and cargo transportation functions in Shanghai Port and the eastern region. It is of great significance for promoting the development of sea rail intermodal transportation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, implementing the national strategy of integrating the Yangtze River Delta, and serving the national economy and people's livelihood.
