On September 20th, the State Administration for Market Regulation held a symposium in Beijing on the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the Anti Unfair Competition Law.
The Anti Unfair Competition Law of our country has been implemented since 1993, fully revised in 2017, and improved in 2019. Since the implementation of the Anti Unfair Competition Law 30 years ago, a total of 757000 cases of various types of unfair competition have been investigated and dealt with nationwide, with a fine of 12.88 billion yuan.
Anti unfair competition is closely related to people's life, such as punishing "scalping and speculation", online water army, regulating Internet unfair competition, defining "brand worship", commercial bribery, infringement of trade secrets and other acts.
The "Annual Report on Anti Unfair Competition Law Enforcement in China" released by the State Administration for Market Regulation shows that in 2022, the State Administration for Market Regulation has deployed a special action against unfair competition law enforcement for the fifth consecutive year, investigating and handling 9069 cases of various types of unfair competition, with a fine of approximately 620 million yuan.
Strengthening the law enforcement and supervision of anti unfair competition is conducive to maintaining a fair competition order, ensuring that all types of business entities use production factors equally in accordance with the law, participate in market competition fairly, and receive equal legal protection, and accelerating the construction of an efficient, standardized, fair competition, and fully open national unified market.
