According to a report from Funing County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province today, at 20:30 on September 19th, Funing County was affected by an EF3 tornado and experienced extreme weather disasters. Yesterday from 17:00 to 22:00, the rainfall in Lupu and Banhu towns reached 202.7 millimeters and 171 millimeters respectively. Extreme weather has caused severe damage to two towns. As of now, the disaster has resulted in 5 serious injuries, but rescue efforts have been unsuccessful and 4 people have been lightly injured. According to preliminary statistics, 1364 people were affected by the disaster in the two towns, 614 houses were damaged, more than 1800 trees were fallen, 199 hectares of crops were damaged, and 129 people were relocated and resettled.
After the disaster occurred, local public security, emergency, health, fire, civil affairs and other departments quickly activated emergency response and made every effort to carry out emergency rescue. At present, emergency rescue, disaster statistics, post disaster disposal, on-site cleaning, post disaster reconstruction and other work are underway, and social order is safe and stable.

At around 17:20 on September 19th, strong tornadoes occurred successively in Daxing Town, Suyu District, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, and Nancai Township, Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province. The level was determined to be EF2, causing casualties and property damage in some areas.
The tornado disaster mainly occurred in towns and villages, with dense personnel and complex building structures. The time of occurrence coincided with work hours. According to preliminary statistics, 5512 people were affected by the strong tornado, with 1646 households generally damaged, 137 collapsed houses, 41.8 hectares of crops damaged, and 405 people temporarily relocated.
