The high yield is due to the introduction of new varieties. In 2023, the local marine department, in cooperation with scientific research institutes, introduced the latest research achievement, "Yellow Sea No.6" Chinese shrimp. After five months of breeding, this new species was the first to be successfully promoted and achieved a Dafengshou (Salad of assorted fresh vegetables).
The person in charge of the base told reporters that the harvest period will continue until the end of October. Compared with other previously farmed species, "Yellow Sea No. 6" Chinese shrimp has a large head, compact meat, and delicious taste, so its price is also much higher than other shrimp.
