24 people injured due to damage to two ships, Russia: 10 missiles coming in
On the 13th, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement stating that the Ukrainian armed forces attacked the Orzhonikidze shipyard in the Black Sea port city of Sevastopol with cruise missiles, and two ships were damaged in the attack.
Sevastopol Mayor Lazwozayev confirmed on the same day that the attack also caused 24 injuries.
The statement stated that Ukraine launched 10 cruise missiles towards the Orzhonikize shipyard, of which 7 were shot down by Russian air defense systems. The Ukrainian side also attempted to use three unmanned boats to attack Black Sea Fleet ships, all of which were destroyed by Russian patrol ships. The Russian side acknowledges that two ships under repair were hit and damaged by Ukrainian cruise missiles.
Lazwozayev posted on social media that the Ukrainian missile attack caused a fire in the southern area of the shipyard. Preliminary information shows that 24 people were injured in the attack. He also said that ships in Sevastopol Bay are currently sailing normally.
As of now, the Ukrainian side has not commented on this attack.
