They are the rowing team of Ruijin Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, the first rowing team established by the national health system.
This young rowing team, which has only been established for half a year, has an average age of 39 years, with the oldest being 56 years old and the youngest being 25 years old. Wu Ping, the full-time vice chairman of the union at Ruijin Hospital, introduced that in early March this year, Ruijin Hospital launched a recruitment process for rowing team members. Through interviews, launching, and rowing equipment testing, 15 team members were selected from nearly 50 applicants.
