Xu Yinsheng called everyone to play table tennis

Between the blue sky, white clouds, and the blue waves of Jinsha, over 200 table tennis enthusiasts from all districts of the city hold outdoor rackets and hit a specially designed 44mm ball on an iron table, enjoying the fun of outdoor table tennis to the fullest.

The parent-child sand table tennis competition is both fun and challenging. In collaboration with the China Table Tennis Museum, three fun table tennis games were set up during the break of the competition, allowing parent-child families to experience an alternative table tennis game.

A participating parent said, "The beach can give people a feeling of vacation and leisure, so playing table tennis on the sand weakens the competitive atmosphere and is more like a weekend entertainment activity for a family." Bathed in the sunshine, playing ball, the children had a lot of fun, working together with their parents to complete fun games, and their sports shoes were filled with fine sand without any concern.

Sand table tennis breaks the limitations of traditional table tennis on the field, equipment, and other aspects, providing table tennis enthusiasts with more choices. Xu Yinsheng, the lifetime honorary chairman of the International Table Tennis Federation, dressed in casual attire and actively promoted sand table tennis. "Table tennis is both competitive and entertaining. Making it bigger makes it easier to play and can increase everyone's interest in participating. Sand table tennis is fun and loved by both adults and children."

According to the organizer, this competition aims to promote family harmony, enhance emotional communication among family members, and care for the physical and mental health of children. Due to the integration of blue sky, sea, beach, and table tennis elements, it attracted the attention of many families, and the competition spots were quickly snatched up.

To provide a higher level of competition supply and meet the diverse needs of the population, the Shanghai Table Tennis Association will focus on creating the Jinshan Beach Table Tennis Carnival event, allowing more enthusiasts with demand to participate. Jinshan District will also introduce more sports projects through the resources of urban beaches, promoting the integrated development of "sports+".

In the competition, fencers wear white clothes and their straight bodies instantly make chopping and stabbing movements. Each fencer has a unique swordsmanship style, which can be as sharp as a sword, as calm as a mountain, or as agile as water.

Fencing, known as the "ballet of combat," has gradually become the preferred sport for young people in Shanghai due to its elegant and agile technical movements, independent and tenacious fighting spirit, as well as advantages in physical training and shaping.

Mr. Yan rushed from Fengxian to see off his daughter for the competition. He told reporters that his daughter started learning fencing three years ago and loves it very much. She usually trains at the club once a week. "This is the highest level competition in the city, let her compare with her peers and find the gap."
