The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou have entered a one week countdown. On September 17th, an important supporting project for the Hangzhou Asian Games and a key project in Zhejiang Province, the Hangzhou Century Center, was officially put into operation. It was invested and constructed by the Shanghai based enterprise Greenland Group. The Green Space Public Welfare Service Station, with the theme slogan of "All Asian Games, Volunteer Together", will be put into operation simultaneously. It will provide logistical support services during the competition period, and can accommodate over 200 Asian Games workers to eat and rest at the same time.
The total investment of Hangzhou Century Center is nearly 10 billion yuan, located on the new central axis of Hangzhou city, occupying the core position of the Qianjiang Century City plate, adjacent to the G20 main venue Hangzhou International Expo Center and the Asian Games main venue Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center. Its twin towers are 310 meters high, refreshing the Hangzhou skyline and making it the current tallest building in Hangzhou.
It is reported that the total construction area of Hangzhou Century Center is about 530000 square meters, consisting of two super high-rise twin towers and 80000 square meters of commercial facilities, with various highlights in planning, design, and construction.
In the hearts of Hangzhou people, the Hangzhou Century Center is also the "Hangzhou Gate" that welcomes visitors from all directions. This is because the exterior of the building is inspired by the first letter "H" in Hangzhou Pinyin. The design of the Twin Towers is also exquisite, taking its shape from the famous landscape of Hangzhou, "Twin Peaks Inserting Clouds," symbolizing the city's soaring wings. The curved corridor between the two towers draws inspiration from the arch bridge form of Hangzhou, and the reflection on the water surface resembles the arches of Jiangnan gardens.

In addition to its design, the lighting tone of Hangzhou Century Center also incorporates historical and cultural elements of Hangzhou. The color tone inherits the natural aesthetics of Hangzhou and conforms to the imagery characteristics of small and large lotus flowers. By extracting the silk white of smoke and rain and the moist green of lotus flowers, the main color tone of "silk white and moist green" is condensed. The light color of ink and wash in the night scene echoes the elegant and profound cultural and historical heritage of Hangzhou, conveying its charm and Chinese style.
Since the start of construction, Hangzhou Century Center has also overcome multiple technical difficulties and achieved the highest number of international patented technologies. The suspended grid steel structure system adopted by the construction team has created the "well-known flexible suspended roof in Asia". Combined with a suspended roof, Hangzhou Century Center has created a 3500 square meter aerial garden on the sixth floor between the two towers, introducing nature into the sky and creating a city forest oxygen aerial reception hall with multiple vegetation layers. In 2018, Hangzhou Century Center, which has adopted multiple energy-saving, environmental protection, and intelligent technologies, has obtained the international LEED gold level pre certification certificate for green buildings, making it a benchmark demonstration project for promoting green and low-carbon transformation.
On the day of its opening, a series of supporting facilities, including the H-shaped bridge arch, large-span overhead roof garden, thousand person banquet hall, super A-level office standard floor, and top floor apron, were unveiled at Hangzhou Century Center. The first Waldorf Hotel in Zhejiang also signed a contract to settle in simultaneously.
According to the planning positioning, the Hangzhou Century Center will cover various business formats such as 5A Grade A office, luxury hotels, administrative offices, and high-end experiential themed commerce. At the same time, it will attract the world's top 500 enterprises, listed enterprises and enterprises in pillar industries such as manufacturing, Internet and real estate.
