Long holidays have provided favorable conditions for the popularity of long-distance travel. Did the No.2 railway 12306 collapse?
Railway tickets are difficult to buy during peak holiday travel, and this year's Mid Autumn Festival and National Day have set a record. On September 15th, which is the train ticket sales day of the National Day holiday, keywords such as "unable to grab tickets" and "12306 collapsed" made it to the hot search early in the morning. Tickets in many directions are sold out immediately upon opening.
What's even more exaggerated is that even if you grab tickets for October 1st on September 17th, many routes are sold out immediately after opening, and the only remaining routes with tickets still show queuing after clicking to purchase. Sometimes, after queuing for a few minutes, it shows queuing failure, and passengers have to choose again.
According to the prediction of the railway department, more passengers will choose to travel by railway during the National Day holiday this year than in previous years. Therefore, the railway department also adopts peak operating schedules and adds trains in popular directions. However, it seems that the number of additional trains is still not enough.
In response, China Railway Group stated that passengers who have not purchased tickets can choose to purchase tickets as a substitute. In addition to being automatically replaced when someone refunds their ticket, the railway department will also add carriages or additional trains to meet the travel needs of passengers.
