On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of its maiden flight, Shanghai's "Gold Medal Rocket" successfully launched another important satellite
At 2:14 on September 7th, the Long March 4C carrier rocket ignited and took off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, and subsequently successfully launched the Remote Sensing 33-03 satellite into the designated orbit, achieving a successful launch mission. The stars and arrows used to carry out this mission were all developed by the Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
The Long March 4C carrier rocket is a three stage liquid carrier rocket at room temperature, capable of launching various types of satellites with different orbital requirements. It can launch a single or multiple satellites, and its 700 kilometer sun synchronous orbit can carry up to 3 tons. With outstanding performance and achievements, the Long March 4 series carrier rocket has been awarded the honorary title of "Gold Medal Rocket".
Due to the seasonal alternation in the local area, the meteorological conditions at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center are complex and variable. In order to minimize the impact of weather factors, the model team worked in parallel and continuously, carrying out high-quality and efficient rocket recovery and transportation work, setting a record for the shortest working time in the model technology area.
This launch marks the 35th anniversary of the first flight of the Chang-4 series rocket. On September 7, 1988, the Long March 4A carrier rocket made its maiden flight and successfully launched the Fengyun-1 satellite, marking that China had the ability to launch satellites in a sun synchronous orbit and officially began the space journey of the Long March 4 series rockets.
On September 7, 2023, China successfully launched the Remote Sensing No. 33 03 satellite. Shen Jizhong
The remote sensing No.33 satellite is mainly used for scientific experimental research, marine and land resource census, agricultural product estimation, and disaster prevention and reduction.
In terms of satellite testing, the development team coordinates and arranges the acceptance work of satellite products, and ensures that the satellite platform and payload products are installed and tested continuously in stages, greatly saving testing equipment and personnel time. Fine planning of launch site work for model scheduling, ensuring orderly arrangement, getting it right at once and doing it well at once.
This launch is the 102nd launch of the Long March 4 series carrier rocket, the 194th launch of the Long March series carrier rocket developed by Shanghai Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, and the 486th launch of the Long March series carrier rocket.
