On the morning of September 15th, the 2023 Golden Autumn Shopping and Tourism Season in Shanghai kicked off. At the opening ceremony, a group of financial institutions released a demonstration business district partnership plan for facilitating domestic payments for inbound travelers. Ant Group provides two solutions: Alipay bundling overseas bank cards and Alipay+overseas wallet payment. Next, they plan to access more overseas electronic wallets and overseas bank cards, and continue to provide support for more small and medium-sized businesses to connect with overseas consumers. Visa will continue to deepen its cooperation with local apps to meet the payment needs of inbound tourists with bundled cards. MasterCard has worked with major banks and payment institutions to promote offline card acceptance and logo distribution in key business districts such as Lujiazui, Nanjing Road, Huaihai Road and Xintiandi for many years. American Express will be committed to promoting high-quality domestic merchants to incoming overseas cardholders.
The "Golden Autumn Shopping and Tourism Season" will continue until mid October, with active participation from major commercial districts, brand enterprises, and e-commerce platforms in Shanghai. Over 400 exciting and diverse marketing activities will be launched one after another. The renovation project of Century Plaza, located in Nanjing Road Walkway, takes "Pearl Kaleidoscope, City Reception Hall" as the design concept, and will return to the public's view with a new look before the National Day. The 2024 Spring/Summer Shanghai Fashion Week will kick off on October 8th, with nearly 100 brands participating in the release of new products and over 1000 brands participating in trade shows.
