The money supply in the eurozone has shrunk for the first time in 13 years
The European Central Bank recently released data showing that the eurozone's money supply has shrunk for the first time since 2010, as private sector loans stagnated and deposits decreased. Economists warn that this foreshadows further economic decline in the eurozone in the future. Meanwhile, the upward pressure on inflation has not been eliminated, and the eurozone economy is shrouded in the shadow of stagflation. According to data from the European Commission, the Eurozone's economic sentiment index fell from 94.5 in July to 93.3 in August, marking the fourth consecutive month of decline and lower than expected. Economists believe that important economic indicators in the eurozone have accelerated their deterioration, and the eurozone economy is facing the risk of recession.

The export volume of new energy vehicles in China increased by 150% in the first seven months
From September 5th to 10th, 2023, the Munich International Auto Show in Germany, known as the "Olympics" of the world's automotive industry, has always been a benchmark for the development of the world's automotive industry. At this auto show, dozens of new energy vehicle companies from China collectively went abroad, making it the country with the highest number of exhibitors besides the host country Germany.
Since the beginning of this year, the popularity of domestic new energy vehicles overseas has continued to increase. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the export volume of new energy vehicles in the first seven months of this year was 636000 units, a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times. In the first half of this year, the proportion of China's automobile exports to Europe to China's total vehicle exports increased from 5.7% in 2018 to 39.1%.
The world population was once only a thousand people for a long time
The population of the Earth has now exceeded 8 billion, but in history, human ancestors may have faced almost the risk of extinction. A study recently published in the American journal Science suggests that humans may have been almost extinct about a million years ago, and the world's population was once only a thousand people for a long time.
This study analyzed the genomes of 3154 modern humans from different populations around the world, and inferred the population size of historical human ancestors by observing the diversity of modern human gene sequences.
The results indicate that approximately 930000 years ago, the ancestral population of modern humans decreased from about 100000 to about 1000, resulting in the loss of approximately 98.7% of group members. The bottleneck period, where the number of adult individuals remained around 1300, lasted for approximately 117000 years, leading to the near extinction of human ancestors.
This research result is consistent with evidence from paleoclimatology. The sharp decline in population coincides with a period of severe global cooling, which has led to the emergence of glaciers and may have caused long-term droughts in Africa and Eurasia. Researchers have not yet delved into the impact of climate change on humans, as the number of human fossils and artifacts left over during this period is relatively rare, possibly due to a small population.
