On September 16, Typhoon Bebejia made landfall in Shanghai, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to the central city of Shanghai. It is reported that when Typhoon Bebejia made landfall in Lingang New City, Pudong, Shanghai, the maximum wind force near the center was 14, making it the strongest typhoon to land in Shanghai since 1949.
