Fire rescue personnel are doing their best to rescue and deal with the situation. Typhoon Bebejia has caused many dangerous situations. An elderly man in Shanghai was injured by a fallen tree.
"There is a solar water heater here that is about to fall down." This morning, the Pudong New Area Fire Rescue Brigade received a call from a citizen of Gaoxing Town and immediately assigned the Wuzhou Fire Station to the scene to deal with the situation.
Firefighters checked and found that the four supporting points of the solar water heater had been separated from the roof, and there was a risk of falling at any time. Firefighters immediately used ropes and protective equipment to climb to the roof for treatment. After about 15 minutes of treatment, the solar water heater was successfully removed and placed in a safe area.
Affected by the strong winds and rainstorms brought by Typhoon Bebejia, many places in Shanghai experienced fallen trees, high-altitude dangerous situations, and injuries. The city's fire rescue teams fully participated in the rescue and disposal.
At about 11:30 today, an old man was hit by a tree blown down by the typhoon on Chongming Honghai Highway and fell to the ground with blood all over his face. After receiving the police alarm information, the Samsung Rescue Station of the Chongming Fire Rescue Detachment immediately sent personnel to the scene to assist in handling. Because the fallen tree was large, several fire rescue personnel worked together to move the tree away. Afterwards, the firefighters lifted the old man onto a stretcher to fix it and transferred him to the side of the fire truck to prevent the surrounding trees from falling again and causing secondary injuries. After the 120 arrived, the fire rescue personnel and the police lifted the old man onto the ambulance and sent him to the hospital for treatment.
It is reported that as of 12:00 today, Shanghai Fire Rescue Department has received more than 8,000 alarm calls and dispatched more than 8,200 fire rescue personnel to actively participate in emergency rescue work such as high-altitude risk elimination and tree collapse clearance.
