Another typhoon! "Prasang" will land in Zhejiang Yuhuan to Xiangshan tomorrow
As soon as Bebejia left, this year's 14th typhoon, Prasang, followed. At 14:00 today, its center was located in the Pacific Ocean about 330 kilometers east-southeast of Naha City in the Ryukyu Islands, and its intensity remained at tropical storm level.
Shanghai has issued a blue typhoon warning and a blue high tide warning for the Huangpu River today, and has once again entered defense mode.
Compared with Bebejia, Plasang is more impatient and moves faster. The meteorological department predicts that Plasang will move rapidly to the northwest at a speed of 45-50 kilometers per hour, move into the East China Sea at night on the 18th, and land on the coast of Yuhuan to Xiangshan in Zhejiang Province in the afternoon and night of the 19th. However, the intensity of Plasang has not changed much. It was a tropical storm or a severe tropical storm when it landed, and then gradually weakened.
There are two obvious differences between "Prasang" and "Bebejia". One is the different landing points, and the other is the different intensities and atmospheric circulation patterns.
"Bebejia" reached the strongest typhoon level and made direct landfall in Shanghai. Although it did not affect Shanghai for long, the wind and rain were quite strong.
"Prasang" is a strong tropical storm at its strongest, and its landing point is in central Zhejiang. Its impact on Shanghai is not as strong as "Bebejia". However, it should be noted that the atmospheric circulation situation is very complicated after "Prasang" lands. Around the 21st, the subtropical high pressure breaks, and the cold air and the warm and humid air flow from the ocean combine to bring significant precipitation, and the rainfall will last for a long time and the short-term precipitation will be significant. Rain prevention and waterlogging prevention will be the top priority.
Affected by the outer cloud system of "Prasang", Shanghai will have showers with short-term thunderstorms from the morning to midnight on the 19th, with heavy rain in some areas, with the maximum hourly rainfall intensity of 30-50 mm. The concentrated precipitation period will be mainly in the morning and evening to the first half of the night on the 19th. During this period, most parts of Shanghai will have gusts of 7-8, and high-rise buildings and coastal areas will have gusts of 8-9. The temperature will remain almost the same, with the temperature ranging from 26℃ to 31℃ throughout tomorrow.
There are currently three active tropical systems near my country. Although Bebejia has weakened, it still brings heavy rain to Henan Province in combination with the cold front. The tropical depression in the South China Sea mainly affects Hainan and the coastal areas of South China. Prasang is impatient and is rushing towards the East China Sea at a speed of 45 kilometers per hour.
The only good thing about the typhoons is that Shanghai will finally see a drop in temperature. Next week, the temperature in Shanghai will drop to the 20s, and the scorching summer heat will finally come to an end.
