Zhu Ting enters the roster of the World Women's Volleyball League Macau station, the Chinese women's volleyball team will face the challenges of Japan and Italy

Release time:May 20, 2024 09:22 AM

On May 20, Beijing time, the Chinese Volleyball Association officially announced the list of the Chinese women's volleyball team for the World Women's Volleyball League in Macau, China, and Zhu Ting was on the list. The Macau leg will be held from May 28th to June 2nd. On May 19, local time, the Chinese women's volleyball team set off from Rio de Janeiro and will arrive in Macau on May 21, Beijing time.

The 16 members of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team in Macau are as follows:

Gong Xiangyu, Wang Yuanyuan, Zhang Changning, Wang Yunfu

Wang Mengjie, Wu Mengjie, Zhuang Yushan, Wang Wenhan

In the Macau station, the Chinese team will face the Netherlands, Japan, Thailand and Italy in sequence, facing a real test. Among them, the Japanese team is the main opponent of the Chinese team to compete for the Paris Olympics.

As Chinese women's volleyball coach Cai Bin expected, Zhu Ting returned to the team before the Macau station to get in touch with her teammates as soon as possible. Since the Tokyo Olympics, Zhu Ting has left the national team due to injury. On April 8, Zhu Ting announced on her personal social media that she would return to the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team. Then on April 15, the Chinese Volleyball Association announced the 26-person roster for the World Women's Volleyball League, and Zhu Ting was on the list.

Zhu Ting's return plays an important role for the Chinese women's volleyball team. Judging from last week's Rio match in Brazil, Li Yingying's opponent is still weak, and Wang Yunxiang and Wu Mengjie lack technical comprehensiveness. However, the Serie A campaign has just ended, leaving little time for Zhu Ting to recover and adjust.

When the Chinese women's volleyball team needs people the most, the return of Zhang Changning and Zhu Ting will greatly improve the team's cohesion.
