The century-old Wuyi Road welcomes a new landmark, and nearly 10 first flagship stores of Feiyueli are unveiled simultaneously
On June 18, at the "WYSH Feiyueli" project site located at the former site of Shanghai Feilo Electric Appliance Factory at No. 168 Wuyi Road, the opening event named "WYSHSUMMER Summer Solstice Travel Festival" kicked off.
The reporter learned from the operator Jiahua International that combining the characteristics of the "Quiet and Elegant Wuyi" block, the innovative spirit of the "Feilong Audio" brand and Jiahua's own brand matrix advantages, Feiyueli will have nearly 10 first stores and flagship stores opened at the same time, covering fashion retail and fine dining and other formats. In this century-old street block, an innovative and fashionable lifestyle landmark integrating office, commerce, exhibitions and public cultural space will be created, providing a multi-functional urban renewal carrier for Changning District to promote the construction of the "Shanghai Silicon Alley" science and technology innovation block.
Wuyi Road is one of the 64 roads in Shanghai that will never be widened. As one of the key urban renewal projects of Wuyi Road, Feiyueli has been renovated and constructed for four years. It will serve as an important new carrier of the cultural and creative industry, integrating complex functions such as business, culture, life, and sightseeing, and introduce new elements in the fields of fashion creativity, leisure and entertainment, culture and art to Wuyi Road.
The project is located at the old site of Feilo Audio Factory at No. 168 Wuyi Road. Through renovation and expansion, new buildings and structures were added to the original site of the old factory, creating a multifunctional cultural space with 5 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, with a total construction area of 18,500 square meters. There are also two old houses with different architectural styles in the project that have completed protective repairs, making the entire plot a unique blend of new and old buildings.
According to Jiahua International, the renovation of Feiyueli was designed by Liu Yichun, a famous architect who designed the Long Art Museum, Yicang Art Museum, and the 80,000-ton silo. The design creates a unique visual contrast by blending old and new buildings. In the Feiyueli park, the red brick walls, high-ceilinged factory structures and other industrial relics are clearly visible, which complement the newly added modern architectural style.
It is worth mentioning that during the renovation of Feiyueli, modern space was grafted onto the original old factory building, creating a stepped roof terrace space, extending the project's public space from the plane to the high area of the building. Visitors can see a patchwork of urban space as they walk up the stairs - the roofs, terraces and sky corridors are connected and intertwined with each other, accompanied by flowers and green plants everywhere, forming an interesting space where people and nature coexist in harmony, making the vision and movement lines of "citywalk" more layered.
The Feiyueli project is adjacent to the historic Wuyi Road in the north and Zhaohua Road in the south, which has a strong living atmosphere and is full of "fireworks". In this renovation, a winding passage was created in the project, connecting the blocks on both sides in a north-south direction, further opening up the city's "capillaries" and adding a "sense of time travel" to the leisure and entertainment experience of the park.
"First store special catering" creates a unique business, travel and cultural experience
Starting from June 18, Feiyueli, together with Sony Music, Lincoln Jazz Shanghai Center and Yongle Holdings under Shanghai Film Group, jointly organized the "WYSHSUMMER Summer Solstice Travel Festival" with the theme of "Feiyue Summer, Joyful Travel in Wuyi".
Among them, around the inheritance of the musical cultural memory of "Fei Le Audio", Fei Yue Li and Sony Music jointly created a vinyl record theme punch-in wall, which brought together Sony Music's global classic vinyl record cover posters and exhibited them offline to create a new visual symbol along Wuyi Road. At the same time, Lincoln Jazz Shanghai Center will also bring classic jazz band performances, and simultaneously present vinyl DJ performances, world-style electronic music improvisations and other diverse forms of expression, allowing modern music to dialogue with historical buildings.
In terms of business, the fashion designer brand "DONGLIANG", founded in a courtyard house in Beijing, opened a new store in an old house in Shanghai for the first time. The imported furniture sales platform IYOUTHSTUDIO has set up a Shanghai flagship store with an area of about 2,500 square meters. The three-story space brings together high-quality furniture brands from Italy, France, Germany, and the United States, providing a one-stop home shopping experience. It will also host various brand new product releases, cultural exchange activities, and art exhibitions.
In terms of catering formats, the brand matrix of Feiyueli includes the "Lawry's" slow-roasted steakhouse, which opened its first store in Shanghai, the first Chinese store of the Korean cuisine "NABI" with reservations, the first Chinese store of the family-style Korean cuisine "WULI", the first Chinese store of the Melbourne creative fusion restaurant "Yugofusionizakaya", as well as the Taiwanese cuisine brand "Bistrobonbon" and the Yunnan street snack brand "Yunnan Xiaoshi SLURP!" The team has newly created "Dai Shao Shao PILIPALA" and other special catering businesses. During the opening period, Feiyueli will launch the "Global Flavor Appreciation" event in conjunction with the restaurants in the park to meet the food needs of tourists from all over the world.
In terms of check-in activities, Yongle Holdings will hold an open-air movie screening of "Love Mythology" in Feiyueli. At the same time, new exhibition projects including the "Giant Polaroid White Rainbow" installation and the "Love Garden" paper sculpture art exhibition have also been "airdropped" into the park to create a special business travel and cultural experience of "strong social interaction and fun wandering".
