The Central Military Commission Political Work Conference was held in Yan'an, Shaanxi from the 17th to the 19th. Xi Jinping stressed that we must uphold the party's absolute leadership over the military, implement the strategy of building the military politically in the new era, firmly grasp the requirements of the era of building the military politically, focus on winning the battle to achieve the goal of building the military for the 100th anniversary, carry forward the spirit of thorough self-revolution, continue to deepen political training, forge a strong party organization with firm political convictions and strong capabilities, forge a high-quality cadre team that is loyal, clean, responsible, and capable of shouldering the heavy responsibility of strengthening the military, and provide a strong political guarantee for the cause of strengthening the military.

At the foot of the Pagoda Mountain and the banks of the Yan River, the revolutionary holy land of Yan'an is full of lush greenery and vitality. At about 3 p.m. on the 17th, Xi Jinping led a group of people from the Military Commission and the main responsible comrades of various departments and units to pay homage to the Wangjiaping Revolutionary Site. Wangjiaping was the residence of the Central Military Commission from August 1937 to March 1947, and was an important decision-making and command center of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission during the Yan'an period. In the meeting room of the Central Military Commission, Xi Jinping listened carefully to the explanation, watched the historical charts reflecting the planning and command of major battles during the Yan'an period, and felt the leadership wisdom and art of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission. Xi Jinping came to the former residences of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and other older generation revolutionaries, relived the revolutionary experiences of the older generation of revolutionaries in Yan'an, and remembered their great achievements. Xi Jinping pointed out that 10 years ago we went to Gutian to hold a political work conference for the whole army, and today we came to Yan'an to hold a political work conference for the Military Commission to trace our roots again. He pointed out that since the 18th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee has made a decisive decision to hold the Gutian Military Political Work Conference, promoted political training in the spirit of rectification, and unswervingly implemented strict governance of the Party and the military in an all-round way. The determination and efforts are unprecedented, and the political construction of the army in the new era has achieved historic achievements.
