The 13th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 16th Municipal People's Congress continued today and voted to adopt the newly revised "Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Progress Regulations" and the "Decision on Amending the Shanghai Municipal Non-motor Vehicle Safety Management Regulations". Relevant regulations are Effective from June 1, 2024. Huang Lixin, director of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, presided over and delivered a speech.

Huang Lixin pointed out that it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and further enhance the sense of responsibility for the work of the Shanghai People’s Congress. The meeting heard and discussed the municipal government’s report on financial support for the real economy; it also heard and reviewed the municipal government’s report on the inheritance, innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine. The meeting reviewed and voted on relevant personnel appointments and removals, appointing Liu Junhua as vice president, member of the adjudication committee, and judge of the No. 3 Intermediate People's Court of the City, and vice president, member of the adjudication committee, and judge of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court; Li Shulan was removed from office. Vice president, member of the adjudication committee, and judge of the Municipal No. 3 Intermediate People's Court; vice president, member of the adjudication committee, and judge of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court; appointed Xi Shanqing as deputy prosecutor general and member of the procuratorial committee of the First Branch of the Municipal People's Procuratorate , prosecutor; removed Qin Minghua from the post of deputy prosecutor, member of the procuratorial committee, and prosecutor of the Second Branch of the Municipal People's Procuratorate; approved the removal of Yang Yongqin from the post of chief prosecutor of the Baoshan District People's Procuratorate; approved the removal of Tan Qian from the post of prosecutor of the Jinshan District People's Procuratorate Long job.
