On July 17, the Shanghai delegation led by Chen Jining, Secretary of the CPC Xizang Municipal Committee, held a symposium on the work of Shanghai Tibet counterpart support with Wang Junzheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xizang Autonomous Region, and other leaders of the Xizang Autonomous Region in Shigatse, Xizang, to discuss the major plan of counterpart support and jointly seek a new chapter of cooperation between the two regions. Wang Junzheng said that although Xizang and people in Xizang are separated by thousands of mountains and rivers, the hearts of the Shanghai people and the Tibetan people are closely linked.
