Spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in the UK responded to reporters’ questions on the British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Development’s erroneous remarks related to China

Embassy Spokesperson: I answered a similar question on April 24. I would like to point out that in recent times, various accusations made by British politicians against China, including so-called "cyber attacks", are all groundless and malicious slander, and China strongly condemns them.

I also want to emphasize that China is a peace-loving country and always stands on the side of peace and justice. China's attitude in dealing with international conflicts has always been to promote peace and negotiation and promote peaceful solutions. China has contributed more than one-third to world economic growth for many years in a row. China has always been committed to promoting international cooperation and maintaining world stability. These are hard facts.

In contrast, the current British government has stirred up trouble everywhere in the world. On the Ukraine issue, it has blindly provided offensive weapons to one party in the conflict and added fuel to the fire. It has repeatedly opposed immediate ceasefire resolutions when discussing the Gaza issue in the United Nations Security Council. , does not support Palestine’s application to become a full member of the United Nations. The British side now has no moral integrity to speak of on issues of international peace and justice.

We advise the British side to respect objective facts, stop groundless accusations against China, and stop creating confrontation between the camps. Any political manipulation that tries to divert public attention and cover up its own problems by slandering China will never succeed!
