The unit price is..., starting from September, it will also carry passengers. The third generation of Sino-Japanese Friendship Ship officially carries cargo! But the cargo category has changed. Liner | Jianzhen | Unit price
The third-generation "Jianzhen" passenger and cargo ferry, which made its maiden voyage on June 8 this year, recently loaded 107 standard containers at the Shanghai Jungong Road Terminal and sailed to Osaka, starting its first cargo journey.
Customs officers from Shanghai Wusong Customs supervise the "Jianzhen" passenger and vehicle ferry.
The name of the ship "Jianzhen" comes from Jianzhen, a Tang Dynasty monk who traveled to Japan many times. In 1985, the "Jianzhen" made its maiden voyage to Japan, opening up the first international passenger and cargo liner route from Shanghai to Japan, with regular trips between Shanghai-Kobe-Osaka. This Sino-Japanese friendship ship is now the third generation - the liner that started operating in 1985 is the "first generation". The "New Jianzhen" ship that started operating in 1994 is the second generation. In June this year, the "New Jianzhen" ship's 30-year passenger qualification was completed and it was officially retired. It was replaced by the latest generation of high-end luxury "Jianzhen" passenger and cargo ferry.
The latest generation of "Jianzhen" was designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute of CSSC and built by China Merchants Jinling Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. It can carry 192 passengers, has a gross tonnage of 20,000 tons and a designed speed of 21 knots. In addition to carrying passengers, the third-generation "Jianzhen" provides "quasi-air transport" services for cargo as always. It can carry 338 20-foot standard containers and can reach Japan in about 38 hours. The operator of the Sino-Japanese liner, Sino-Japanese International Ferry Co., Ltd., pioneered a fast delivery service in the industry, which ensures that the cargo can be picked up in batches 2 hours after the ship docks. The efficiency is comparable to air transport, especially for those cargo owners who have high requirements for timeliness but think air transport is too expensive and ordinary sea transport is too slow.
The "Jianzhen" ship is supervised by Wusong Customs. As an old inspector, Zhang Naichao, a customs officer of the first inspection section of Wusong Customs, witnessed that a few years ago, the imported inspection goods of this Sino-Japanese liner were mostly clothing fabrics and accessories, while the export goods were mainly ready-made clothes; but in recent years, the proportion of clothing exports has gradually decreased, replaced by high-end machinery, machine tools, special vehicles and other equipment goods.
Speed and punctuality are the competitive advantages of China-Japan liner services. For this reason, Wusong Customs has provided 7×24-hour support for many years. Zhu Ling, chief of the first inspection section of Wusong Customs, introduced that on the basis of advance declaration, imported goods can be picked up after arriving at the port. If inspection is involved, Wusong Customs will arrange the inspection operation time according to the normalized communication mechanism between shipping companies, terminal operators and customs, and according to the needs of enterprises, to help "secondary aviation" run at a new speed. In the first five months of this year, Wusong Customs supervised a total of 7,206 standard containers of import and export goods of China-Japan liner services.
It is also reported that the "Jianzhen" ship did not carry any passengers or cargo during its maiden voyage on June 8. After the official cargo loading, the ship will also officially carry passengers from September. The passenger fare has not yet been determined, but the "second generation" third-class cabin can be used as a reference, with a unit price of 1,300 yuan.
