Dingri Mount Everest Cultural Tourism Photography Competition was launched, and Shanghai Tourism Aid Tibet came up with new measures
Start an unforgettable photography journey in the place closest to the sky. On June 17, the "Meet on the same day to realize the dream of Mount Everest" 2024 Dingri Mount Everest Cultural Tourism Photography Competition was launched in Shanghai. This photography competition aims to promote Dingri's magnificent scenery and historical culture in all aspects through the perspectives of photographers, combined with Dingri's Mount Everest, plateau, Tibetan culture and other scarce resources, and further play the role of cultural tourism consumption assistance and Shanghai tourism aid to Tibet.
Dingri County in Tibet is the closest county to Mount Everest, with an average altitude of about 5,000 meters and dazzling cultural and tourism resources. This county "closest to the sky" has four mountains above 8,000 meters, making Mount Everest "within reach"; Rongbuk Monastery is solemn and mysterious, and you can see the snow-capped mountains and icy peaks from a high altitude; Rongxiagou is like a "secret place" in the Himalayas, with deep canyons and dense forests; rare animals and plants such as snow leopards, Tibetan wild donkeys, black-necked cranes, and snow lotus, which are first-class protected animals in the country, live here, and the traditional dance "Tingri Luoxie" has been selected as a national intangible cultural heritage... Every scene is unforgettable.
Dingri County not only has magnificent natural scenery, but also unique Tibetan culture and hospitable Tibetan compatriots. Although the average altitude is relatively high, it has complete tourism facilities, including oxygen supply hotels, smart scenic spots, and special restaurants. It is an ideal place for tourism, photography, outdoor adventure, and scientific research.
The Dingri Everest Cultural Tourism Photography Competition has set up themes such as chasing dreams on Mount Everest, rural revitalization, ethnic customs, intangible cultural heritage, and happy life, and invites photography enthusiasts from all over the country to go to Tibet to participate in Dingri photography and creation. It is worth mentioning that the competition has set up a special topic "Smiles of Dingri" for ordinary citizens and tourists, encouraging tourists to have in-depth exchanges with the folks of Dingri County during their journey, capture their smiles and freeze their happiness with their mobile phones, and record the moments of warmth and happiness with their cameras.
During the submission period from June to September, the organizers will continue to carry out a series of sub-activities for Dingri cultural tourism photography, such as photography salons, photography public welfare lectures, and exhibitions of outstanding works. At that time, experts from the Photographers Association will be invited to tell travel photography beginners and enthusiasts about their stories and thoughts behind their photography creation in Dingri County, recommend Dingri check-in attractions to citizens and tourists, share shooting techniques at popular check-in spots such as the Everest Base Camp and the Gawula Pass, and teach tourists how to easily take "blockbuster" photos.
Zhu Dongfeng, deputy leader of the Dingri Group of the Shanghai Aid to Tibet Cadres Liaison Group, member of the Dingri County Party Committee and deputy county magistrate, attended the launching ceremony and delivered a speech, sincerely inviting photographers, photography and tourism enthusiasts as well as citizens from all over the country to visit Dingri to enjoy the magnificent scenery and appreciate the Tibetan culture.
