Launch of new cultural talk show MISATalk

MISATalk is a new cultural talk show launched at this summer music festival, which will invite five representatives from different fields to give keynote speeches.

On July 4, as one of the arrangers of the piano concerto "Yellow River", pianist Shi Shucheng will share with the audience his artistic concept and artistic life of adapting Vivaldi's classic work "The Four Seasons". On July 6, Shanghai nursery rhyme singer-songwriter Wang Yuanchao will be a guest at MISATalk, talking about the unforgettable memories of childhood and singing beautiful Shanghainese nursery rhymes.

On July 13, performing artist Wang Rugang will start with a mung bean popsicle, talk about those unforgettable delicacies, and together find the fireworks of Shanghai and the taste of hometown in memory.

This year marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Aaron Avshalomov. He was the first composer to compose the March of the Volunteers with orchestral music, and was affectionately called "Afu" by his Chinese friends. On July 14, classical music lover Xu Shen will lead the audience to explore Afu's musical footprints in Shanghai.

This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of writer Jin Yong. His stories of loyalty, chivalry, and revenge are still cherished by countless readers. On July 15, the closing session of MISATalk will be presented by Mao Jian, a professor and writer at East China Normal University, who will share with the audience her own Jin Yong world.

MISAWalk brings architecture and music together

This year, the summer music festival also launched several MISAWalk routes. On July 6, the Shikumen themed walk will start from Jiaxiuli, the Shikumen where Mao Zedong lived the longest in Shanghai, passing through the "Hundred Years Zhang Garden", the filming location of the hit TV series "Flowers", and the "Jing'an Villa", the largest new-style lane residential complex in Shanghai, and finally arrive at the MISA venue - Shanghai City Lawn Music Plaza, accompanied by the breeze, and indulge in the hazy night of the Jazz Shanghai Big Band.

The walk on July 7th was Baroque-themed, starting from the former site of the French General Association, the Garden Hotel, and strolling under the mottled shadows of the plane trees. The Cathay Cinema, Nanchang Building, Lin Fengmian's former residence, Science Hall and other historical buildings carried the city's memory. On July 11th, the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall, with the music of Bonizzoni, the Resonance Orchestra and the Chaconne Orchestra that traveled through time and space, ripples of Baroque appeared.

The Baroque period, which had a profound impact on architecture, music, painting and other fields, was a "golden age" of flourishing art. MISA and Dongyi Art Museum jointly launched the "Venice Sound and Painting Feast" event to interpret the musical characteristics of the Baroque period, listen to the Venice boat songs, appreciate the 16th century Venetian school of painting, take a "MISA Walk" in the art museum, and visit the "Titian Flora - Uffizi Gallery Venetian School of Painting Collection Exhibition".

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Jin Yong's birth, the Summer Music Festival will not only premiere "Wuxia" created by Yu Long and co-commissioned by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Chengdu Symphony Orchestra and Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra and composed by Liang Haoyi in the closing concert, but will also hold a number of related activities. On July 7, the instructors of "Star Tai Chi" will teach the audience the three basic Tai Chi moves on site. On July 15, the martial arts monks of Songshan Shaolin Temple will unveil the veil of Shaolin Kung Fu.

MISA is a window to the world's music culture and the "music entry point" for the world to arrive in Shanghai. "Meeting in Shanghai" is the theme of this summer music festival, and the "Imprints of Shanghai" exhibition will be open to the public free of charge during the MISA period. The exhibition is named after objects, and brings together more than 100 daily life objects of ordinary people in Shanghai, such as Shenbao, old photos developed by Wang Kai Photo Studio, programs of Daguangming Theater, Shuangmei brand toilet water, Zhengguanghe soda...

In addition, drinking a MISA special blend, listening to an opening rehearsal, watching an online live broadcast, and sending a MISA customized announcement postcard are all different ways to unlock MISA.

I don't understand what it means to be "old". 60 year old Ye Tong: Before playing the role of an old man, "I Love You!" hosted a white haired special film | Shanghai | Ye Tong

"Are we still worthy of love when we're old?" At the theme event of the white haired screening of the Shanghai film "I Love You!" on June 30th, the host threw the question to the elderly audience in the Thousand People Hall of Shanghai Cinema, as well as to the four main creators on stage: director Han Yan, starring Ni Dahong, Hui Yinghong, and Ye Tong. According to Lighthouse Professional, as of 12:00 on July 1st, the box office of the film has exceeded 275 million yuan. The portrayal of love and spiritual world among the elderly in the film has moved many viewers to tears and also prompted them to rethink what "old" means. Before the interaction begins, the on-site staff will move a few white chairs. Unlike usual roadshows that end hastily within half an hour, this special session of "I Love You!" will last for one hour. The creators sit down, chat slowly, and think slowly about the answers to the questions. Director Han Yan is 8

Not lonely, violinist Chai Liang will hold a solo concert in Shanghai: With Music Cui Lan | Pianist | Chai Liang

On July 2nd, violinist Chai Liang will hold a solo concert at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center Concert Hall. He will perform Mozart's "Violin Sonata in G Major", Lespichi's "Violin Sonata in B Minor", He Zhanhao and Chen Gang's "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", and Sarasate's "Carmen Theme Fantasy". At the concert, pianist Cui Lan will collaborate with Chai Liang. Learning a musical instrument emphasizes "child skills", but Chai Liang only officially started playing the violin at the age of 10. "I started very late, but the advantage is that no one cares about me, and people may think that I can't make a difference." However, Chai Liang went all the way from Shenyang Conservatory of Music Affiliated Middle School to Central Conservatory of Music Affiliated Middle School and undergraduate, and then went to study at the University of Southern California and Julia College in the United States, under the guidance of Lin Yaoji and Doris Dilay. After winning the international competition award, Chai

At the 25th International Film Festival, there was a very eye-catching performance of love and marriage between middle-aged and elderly people in "I Love You". 63 year old Hui Yinghong and 60 year old Ye Tong played the female lead, together with Ni Dahong and Liang Jiahui, portraying the love pursuit and perseverance of middle-aged and elderly people in the entanglement of aging and disease. I am delighted to see middle-aged and elderly actresses as the main characters on the big screen. This phenomenon has been rare in recent years. Last year, the collaboration between Wu Yanshu and Xi Meijuan in "Mom!" also featured strong female lead roles, adding attention to the middle-aged and elderly population to the current Chinese screen. Especially for Wu Yanshu, an elderly woman born in 1938, her performances are meticulous and profound, whether she plays the rural grandmother who has been with her husband for a lifetime in "Love and Family" or the Chinese foster mother who went to Japan to find her adopted daughter in "See Nara Again"
