Shanghai has established an expert committee on building a legal business environment, bringing together 30 authoritative scholars
On June 17, Shanghai held a ceremony to appoint expert committee members for building a law-based business environment and unveil the China Law-Based Business Environment Research Institute.
The reporter learned from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission that the Expert Committee for Building a Law-Based Business Environment will serve as a member of the Shanghai Advisory Committee for Optimizing the Business Environment. By establishing a regular research, discussion and exchange mechanism, it will better play the professional role of legal experts in the construction of a law-based system such as business environment legislation and regulation, further build consensus, wisdom and strength, and provide advice and suggestions for Shanghai to continue to create a world-class business environment and enhance the international competitiveness of my country's law-based business environment.
There are 30 expert committee members for building a law-based business environment. They include experts from comprehensive universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Wuhan University, and Zhejiang University, as well as scholars from universities with professional political science and law backgrounds such as China University of Political Science and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Centralnan University of Finance and Economics, and Northwest University of Political Science and Law. They are highly authoritative and have a wide coverage.
The China Institute for Legal Business Environment was established by East China University of Political Science and Law. It has 14 professional research teams in different fields and more than 150 researchers. In the future, it will become a "helper" for Shanghai to connect with international high-standard rules, deeply interpret the World Bank's business environment assessment indicator system, and support Shanghai to better connect with international rules. At the same time, the institute will actively participate in the post-legislative evaluation of laws and regulations on the business environment, provide intellectual reserves for the regular revision of regulations, and provide solutions to the bottlenecks and pain points of the legal business environment faced by enterprises.
Shanghai Vice Mayor Jie Dong attended the expert committee appointment ceremony and jointly unveiled the China Institute of Rule of Law Business Environment with East China University of Political Science and Law Party Secretary Guo Weilu.
