The first Shanghai-Khabara Youth Art Base was established
In order to promote the deepening of cooperation, mutual learning, mutual assistance, exchange and integration between Shanghai and Kashgar, the first "Shanghai-Kashgar Youth Art Base" was established in the studio of Kashgar Regional Integrated Media Center on June 14. Wang Yayuan, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Dou Xuemei, Member of the Kashgar Prefectural Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, jointly unveiled the art base.
Shanghai's counterpart support for cultural enrichment in Xinjiang has been made into a project to promote development, ethnic unity and people's hearts. The Little Star Group under Shanghai Radio and Television Station has worked hard to be practical and take the lead in promoting cultural enrichment in Xinjiang. With its rich art education resources and teaching experience, it has specially planned the "2024 Shanghai Cultural Enrichment in Xinjiang-Shanghai-Khazan Youth Art Construction Project Plan" and simultaneously established the "Shanghai-Khazan Pomegranate Seed Children's Choir". From talent training to art exchanges and activities such as sending culture to the grassroots, Shanghai Little Star has taken many measures to help improve Xinjiang's art education and nourish the hearts of Xinjiang people with high-quality expert classes and high-level performances.
On the day of the unveiling ceremony, the selection activity of the "Shanghai-Kashgar Pomegranate Seed Children's Choir" was launched simultaneously. Children from the Kashgar region gathered together to show their talents through singing and dancing. After fierce competition, 40 children were finally selected to become members of the choir. Among these children, the youngest was only 4 years old. Their innocent singing and smart dancing won applause from the audience.
The "Shanghai-Khazan Youth Art Base" aims to build a bridge for cultural exchanges between young people in Shanghai and Kazakhstan, provide a broader platform for art learning and display, and inject new vitality into Shanghai's cultural work in Xinjiang. The "Shanghai-Khazan Pomegranate Seed Children's Choir" will become an important window to showcase the style of young people in the two places, telling the Xinjiang story and the Chinese story to the world in a musical form that integrates Chinese and foreign music.
