Guangming Daily, Beijing, June 14 (Reporter Wang Xiaobin) The Long March 10 series of launch vehicles, developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, successfully completed the first-stage power system test on the 14th. During the test, the engine started normally, worked stably, shut down on time, and all parameters were tested normally. This is the first large-scale system-level ground test of the Long March 10 series of rockets. The matching of the first-stage booster delivery system and the engine, the propellant filling process, the multi-machine parallel power transmission and environmental characteristics were fully verified, marking that the Long March 10 series of rockets have fully entered the fast lane of large-scale ground test development.

The Long March 10 series rockets are three-and-a-half-stage rockets developed for the manned lunar exploration project to launch a new generation of manned spacecraft and lunar landers. The rocket is 92.5 meters long, weighs about 2,189 tons at takeoff, has a takeoff thrust of about 2,678 tons, and has a carrying capacity of no less than 27 tons for the Earth-Moon transfer orbit. The non-boosted configuration rocket derived from this type of rocket is about 67 meters long, weighs about 740 tons at takeoff, has a takeoff thrust of about 892 tons, and has a low-Earth orbit carrying capacity of no less than 14 tons. It can carry out space station astronaut and cargo transportation missions, and the first stage has a reusable function.

The power system test is the ground development test with the most systems, the most complex conditions and the greatest difficulty in the development of launch vehicles. According to Xu Hongping of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, the power system test of the Chang-10 series rockets is the simultaneous ignition of three YF-100K engines in the first stage. It is the largest power system test in the development process of my country's launch vehicles at this stage. The ground thrust reaches 382 tons, which is 1.6 times higher than the previous largest test.

According to the subsequent development plan, the Long March 10 series rocket will carry out the second test run of the first-stage power system in the near future to further verify other working conditions, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the manned lunar exploration project.

According to the report, the US State Department said that following the visit of Jack Sullivan, the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, to Saudi Arabia on May 7, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will also meet with officials of the world's largest oil exporter next week. Although no breakthrough is expected, analysts said that the purpose of Antony Blinken's trip includes, to some extent, restoring the influence of oil prices on Riyadh, countering the influence of China and Russia, and paving the way for the eventual normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel. The report pointed out that two long-term changes aggravated the challenges faced by Antony Blinken. Firstly, the relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia

The United States has failed to process radioactive nuclear waste | Radioactive | United States

According to the New York Times website on May 31, from 1950 to 1990, the US Department of Energy produced an average of four nuclear bombs per day, which were produced in hastily built factories with few environmental measures, leaving behind a large amount of toxic radioactive waste. The report states that the most serious problem is undoubtedly in the Hanford factory area in Washington state. Engineers sent there to handle radioactive waste after the Cold War discovered 54 million gallons of highly radioactive sludge, which was produced during the production of plutonium in American atomic bombs, including the atomic bomb dropped in Nagasaki, Japan in 1945. Underground storage tanks filter out toxic waste into the Columbia River just 6 miles away, clean up these tanks and stabilize them in some way for permanent disposal, which is the most encountered in history

What are the consequences of repeated infection of COVID-19? Can antiviral drugs be used for prevention? Experts say that viruses | drugs | poisons

In the new round of COVID-19 infection, there are many "first positive" infected people, but there are also many "second positive" infected people. Some people are worried that there may even be "three suns" and "four suns" in the future. So what damage will repeated infection of COVID-19 do to the human body? Can COVID-19 antiviral drugs be used as prophylactic drugs? On June 3rd, at the International Hospital Infection Control Forum held in Shanghai, a reporter from First Financial interviewed Professor Lu Hongzhou, the director of Shenzhen Third People's Hospital, on a series of issues that people are concerned about. CBI: How is this round of COVID-19 infection different from the last round? Lu Hongzhou: In my opinion, the current round of COVID-19 infection cannot be called "the second wave", because it does not affect our normal life and work. A more accurate description should be called "echelon infection". Because most people already possess resistance

Previously, the bill had already been passed in the United States House of Representatives and Senate. Treasury Secretary Yellen previously warned congressional leaders that the federal government may run out of funds on June 5th, and if Congress does not raise the debt ceiling before Monday, it could lead to an economic disaster. Biden praised himself in his speech. The day before, Biden delivered a speech in the Oval Office of the White House, celebrating the agreement between the Democratic and Republican parties. This was also Biden's first speech in the Oval Office since taking office
