@More than half of the Spring Festival holiday for migrant workers has started special trains to return to work
The Lunar New Year holiday is already halfway through, and many people are embarking on their journey back to work, and many places have also started special trains for migrant workers to return to work.
Sichuan's first migrant worker train this year departs from mountainous areas to Bay Area
Early this morning, the K4231 train carrying more than 1,400 people departed from Dazhou Station in Sichuan and is expected to arrive at Guangzhou Station in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area around 8:30 a.m. on the 15th. This is the first special train for migrant workers to return to work in Sichuan this year. It is also the 26th consecutive year that the railway department has operated a special train for migrant workers in the Qinba Mountains.
At 2 a.m., more than 1,400 migrant workers traveling south on train K4231 gathered at Dazhou Railway Station. In order to make it easier for migrant workers to wait for the bus, Dazhou Railway Station opened a special waiting hall and arranged more than 20 volunteers to guide them.
In addition, in order to ensure the resumption of work and production after the holiday, the Dazhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau coordinates transportation, railway and other departments to provide a full range of convenient services for traveling migrant workers. As the ticket check-in period approaches, the staff delivers New Year gift packages to every migrant worker.
Zhou Ge, Director of the Dazhou Migrant Workers Service Center: We have also prepared some items such as instant noodles, mineral water, and paper towels for our migrant friends to make it easier for them to use when traveling.
It is understood that 300,000 migrant workers will take trains out of the Qinba Mountains this year, with passenger flow mainly concentrated in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hangzhou Bay Greater Bay Area. To facilitate the return of migrant workers, Dazhou Railway Station will operate 13 additional migrant trains to Guangzhou from February 14 to March 5, benefiting more than 20,000 migrant workers.
Pudong Airport welcomes “point-to-point” migrant workers returning to Shanghai
Yesterday afternoon, a plane carrying more than 30 migrant workers from Nujiang and Honghe in Yunnan landed in Pudong Airport. This is the first batch of "point-to-point" migrant workers arriving in Shanghai during the Spring Festival, from "doorstep" to "factory door".
It is understood that these migrant workers had already participated in the local job fair jointly organized by Shanghai and Yunnan before the Spring Festival and confirmed their employment positions.
Since late December last year, Shanghai's human resources and social security departments at all levels have intensively visited relevant major labor exporting provinces and counterpart support areas for more than 40 labor cooperation and docking, carried out local recruitment, organized group recruitment, and actively coordinated aviation, railway, etc. Transportation units proactively provide "point-to-point" transportation services.
Yang Jiaying, Secretary and Director of the Party Leadership Group of the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau: We will also provide them with some training on relevant vocational skills to help them acquire skills and better improve their employment capabilities and standards. So that they can come in, stay, live comfortably, and succeed.
