On August 24th, at the third session of the 16th People's Congress of Nantong City, Zhang Tong was elected as the Mayor of Nantong City. Zhang Tong was born in October 1971 and had worked in Suqian City for a long time in his early years. He held various positions, including Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Suqian City Committee, Standing Committee Member and Minister of the Organization Department of Sihong County Committee, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Suqian City Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Siyang County Committee, and Executive Deputy County Magistrate. Since 2008, Zhang Tong has held various positions including Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Women's Federation, Standing Committee Member and Minister of Propaganda Department of Xuzhou City Committee, Standing Committee Member and Minister of Organization Department of Huai'an City Committee, Deputy Secretary of Huai'an City Committee, Chairman and Party Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Women's Federation. In March 2022, Zhang Tong was appointed as the Director and Party Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. On July 10th this year, the 11th meeting of the 16th Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Nantong City appointed Zhang Tong as the Vice Mayor and Acting Mayor of Nantong City.

The torch relay for the Asian Games will start on September 8th in Hangzhou, with 11 cities in Zhejiang Province, each lasting one day. It will return to Hangzhou on September 20th. The overall schedule, units, and events of the Hangzhou Asian Games have been finalized and confirmed by the Sports Committee of the Asian Olympic Council. The final version of the overall schedule and unit schedule will be announced by the end of this month. According to the arrangement, the Hangzhou Asian Games will start on September 23rd and end on October 8th, with a total of 15 competition days. The first gold medal day will be September 24th, and some events such as football, volleyball, and cricket will start early before the opening ceremony due to the actual events.

This is the sixth short distance transportation flight opened by Jiande Airport. This route is operated by Cessna 172 of Donghua General Aviation Co., Ltd. It can accommodate three passengers and operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The flight duration is about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and the one-way ticket price is 230 yuan. Passengers can purchase their tickets on the "Air Travel Zongheng" app. At present, the daily operating hours are: departing from Hengdian at 14:00 and arriving in Jiande at 15:10; 16: 10 takes off from Jiande and arrives at Hengdian at 17:20.
