Since its launch in 2017, the "Science Training Camp" has actively promoted cooperation among youth science and technology innovation colleges, and jointly established a science training camp alliance with multiple prestigious schools in Shanghai. As of now, strategic cooperation has been reached with multiple primary and secondary schools in Shanghai, and it has been rated as a national digital literacy and skills training base, a Shanghai student science and technology innovation base, and a Shanghai student social practice base.
At the 2023 Mini Science Training Camp, students explored who the "architects" of cells were in the mysterious micro world, learned about the story of Levin Hooke's invention of the microscope, and attempted to observe, record, and draw samples under the microscope. In popular science writing, students apply their scientific knowledge, unleash their imagination, and use words to depict the wonderful nature in their minds. In popular science expression, they learn how to tell good science stories and become young science communicators.

The organizers have also created collaborative cultural and creative works that combine scientific and creative ideas, inspiring the curiosity and exploration of the students present. It is reported that the cultural and creative works of "Mini Science Training Camp" include badges, card sleeves, bookmarks, notebooks, etc., with the "Science Experiment Robot" element as the core. It will change different shapes in various scenarios according to the course theme. For example, the small robot on the badge is doing experiments, and the small seedling on the head symbolizes "children grow up strong in the ocean of science".
It is reported that this event is jointly organized by the School of Public Health of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Science and Technology Publishing House, co organized by the Big Zero Bay Library, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Siyuan Education Center, and Shanghai News Broadcasting Science Family Studio. The science and technology volunteer service organization under the China Association for Science and Technology - the Jiaotong University School of Public Health Student Science Popularization Volunteer Team "Health Walker" provides services throughout the event, bringing exciting and diverse courses to children.
