Using music to interpret the culture of filial piety, the "Wangwang Filial Piety Award" was held for the third time
October 23rd coincides with the Double Ninth Festival, a traditional Chinese festival, and the 2023 Want Want Filial Piety Award Songwriting and Short Video Competition Award Ceremony was held in Shanghai that night. Li Yafei, Vice President of the ARATS, Cai Yanming, Chairman of Want Want Group, and Lin Zhengze, former Acting Chairman of the Kuomintang of China, attended the event.
The competition received a total of 6,653 original music works. After three rounds of selection, 118 works were awarded the final prize. Among them, "There's a Kind of Cold That Mom Feels Cold", "Dad's Motorcycle" and "Presbyopic Glasses" won the Best Golden Melody Award of the Year. This year's competition added a short film award and received more than 60,000 entries. 60 works including "Dad, I Love You" won awards.
This year's creative competition consists of a jury composed of musicians, music critics and celebrities in related fields from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao is specially invited to serve as the honorary chairman of the jury.
Want Want Group held the first and second Want Want Filial Piety Awards in 2016 and 2018, respectively with the themes of "Missing the Father in the Morning and Missing the Mother in the Night" and "Make Filial Piety a Habit", and carried out the philosophy of "Filial piety comes first". Excellent traditional Chinese culture. The third Want Want Filial Piety Award, which was renewed this year, takes "Child, you know what I need" as the theme, advocating that filial piety is not one-way, encouraging parents or elders to have the courage to talk about their needs, and promoting parent-child communication and interaction.
