A man in Shanghai specializes in taking out food, and a rider hits porcelain! Four riders were scammed for nearly 5000 yuan. Pedestrian | Rider | Shanghai
Is it a coincidence or someone intentionally causing multiple delivery riders to "knock down" the same pedestrian on the same road section and be required to compensate for their personal injury? Recently, the Baoshan police conducted an investigation based on the reported clues and successfully arrested a man who specializes in hitting porcelain delivery riders and fraudulently obtaining compensation.
Not long ago, several delivery riders came to the Liuxing Police Station of the Baoshan Branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau to report a case, stating that they suspected they had encountered a professional porcelain bumper. At that time, the man was repeating the old trick on Jusheng Road and needed police to be present to verify.
According to the rider, about an hour before reporting the incident, a rider reported the incident of hitting a pedestrian on Jusheng Road and reporting it to the rider group. Unexpectedly, another rider in the group stated that they had collided with the same pedestrian on the same road section before and uploaded a video of negotiating for privacy.
After receiving the report, the police immediately rushed to the scene of the accident and concluded with the traffic police that there was a suspicion of collision in this traffic accident.
By reviewing public videos on the road, the police found that a man wearing gray clothes was swaying back and forth on the sidewalk while looking at his phone. Subsequently, a delivery rider was riding an electric bike on a non motorized lane while driving normally. The man suddenly took a step forward, quickly slapped the electric bike trunk with his right hand, and fell to the ground without getting up.
Not only that, the police also found another accident video that occurred on the same road section a week ago. In that accident, after a delivery electric bike passed by, the same man standing on the sidewalk suddenly rushed towards the car and fell directly to the ground. The rider in this accident was afraid that the delivery of takeout would exceed the deadline, so he chose to spend 500 yuan to "privately" with the other party without reporting to the police.
Faced with conclusive evidence, the man Wu eventually admitted to the fact that he had repeatedly bumped into a delivery rider. According to Wu's account, his left foot was fractured earlier and he was temporarily unable to work. He then twisted his mind and set up a game to play as a delivery rider, hoping to get something for nothing. The reason why Wu chose delivery riders as his target for hitting porcelain is also because "they are afraid of orders exceeding the deadline and finding it troublesome, so they are more willing to go private.".
According to the investigating agency, Wu carried out 5 porcelain smashes within a month, with 4 successful attempts and fraudulently obtaining compensation of nearly 5000 yuan.
At present, the suspect Wu has been detained by the police according to law for suspected fraud.
