The relevant "Plan" passed the review, and the three major airports in Beijing and Tianjin optimized flight methods
The "Optimization Plan for Airport Flight Methods in Beijing Terminal Area" recently passed the review. The "Plan" proposes that through airspace adjustment, the flight procedures of three multi-million-capacity civil aviation airports in Beijing Capital, Beijing Daxing, and Tianjin Binhai and multiple other airports in the terminal area will be optimized. Preliminary predictions are that the support capacity in the terminal area can be increased by 13%.
The "Plan" proposes that when the Capital Airport runs north, the flight distance of flights to East China, Japan and South Korea will be shortened by nearly 100 kilometers in the terminal area. Preliminary predictions are that it can save about 23,000 tons of fuel and reduce costs for airlines every year. 180 million yuan, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 190,000 tons per year.
According to the "Plan", in terms of flight procedure optimization, it is expected that more than 200 arrival and departure flight procedures at each airport will be adjusted and more than 40 waiting procedures will be drafted. In order to cooperate with the multiple-choice route usage plan in the North China control area and facilitate airlines and crews to grasp it in advance, multiple runways have been added for omnidirectional departure flight methods. It facilitates decision-making when encountering airspace restrictions, thunderstorms, etc., laying the foundation for improving the punctuality rate of flights in Beijing and Tianjin.
In terms of exploring the flexible use of airspace, we have planned and adjusted temporary routes, optimized flight altitudes, simplified operational restrictions, and steadily improved the efficiency of airspace use.
At the coordination and tactical level, both airspace management units jointly compiled relevant regulations on operation and control, unified the operation standards of both parties, and reduced coordination and operation risks.
The "Plan" will further promote the integrated development of airspace management units, significantly increase the utilization rate of spare resources, effectively improve flight operation efficiency, and reduce the operating costs of air transport enterprises.
