The Bank of Shanghai is taking action to popularize financial knowledge!
This year is the 14th year that the China Banking Association has organized and carried out the "Thousand Miles Campaign to Popularize Financial Knowledge in the Banking Industry". Bank of Shanghai actively fulfills its social responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise, mobilizes the whole bank to carry out multi-carrier, multi-angle and multi-form publicity activities, extends the service radius, innovates publicity models, and helps comprehensively improve consumers' financial literacy and risk prevention awareness.
In order to enhance the prevention awareness and resistance of teachers and students against the risks of telecommunications network fraud, the Bank of Shanghai recently joined hands with the Shanghai Jiading District Anti-Fraud Center to jointly carry out anti-fraud publicity activities at Tianhua College of Shanghai Normal University.
During the lecture, police officers from the Anti-Fraud Center conducted special lectures focusing on cases such as "part-time bill fraud, impersonating customer service, fake shopping, fake loans, and game transactions" that are common among student groups. At the same time, we provide warnings and reminders about crimes related to "two cards" and telecommunications network fraud, mobilize teachers and students to understand and actively participate in anti-fraud work, and jointly create a good environment for "anti-fraud for all". Bank of Shanghai employees emphasized the dangers of telecommunications network fraud to teachers and students, and reminded them not to rent, lend, or sell bank cards and phone cards for small profits in life, and to become an accomplice of telecommunications network fraud.
This publicity activity will focus on network security publicity and education for teachers and students to enhance network security awareness and basic protection skills, so that anti-fraud knowledge can be absorbed into the hearts and minds, and a strong "protective wall" for campus security will be built.
Bank of Shanghai Hangzhou Branch attended the graduates evening party of the School of Information of China Jiliang University and carried out financial knowledge campus activities to exchange financial knowledge face-to-face with students who are about to enter the society. On-site staff patiently answered every question and preached knowledge on the protection of financial consumers’ rights and interests, the dangers of money laundering, and typical fraud cases and methods. In order to increase the fun of the event, a competition with prizes for financial knowledge was specially designed to increase students’ enthusiasm for participation. It effectively develops students' financial knowledge reserves and builds a bridge to spread financial knowledge to schools and society.
One of the themes of this year's banking industry's long-distance campaign to popularize financial knowledge is "accompanying 'silver-haired' customers and unblocking financial channels for the elderly." In order to further improve the financial knowledge level and risk prevention awareness of the elderly in the community, Bank of Shanghai mobilized employees to go into the community and carry out financial knowledge popularization and education activities based on the financial consumption scenarios of the elderly.
Bank of Shanghai Shenzhen Branch cooperated with Shenzhen Xiling Community Party and Group to carry out community welfare activities to benefit the people, popularize pension finance knowledge on site, and advocate middle-aged and elderly consumers to rationally and reasonably plan their own insurance protection based on their economic situation and risk preferences. We also participated in the "Veterans Care Market" organized by the street, and used the market booth to promote the importance of financial investment through formal channels to veterans who have retired and changed jobs, so as to avoid falling into the trap of illegal fund-raising. The atmosphere was warm and the consultation was enthusiastic.
Nanjing Branch of the Bank of Shanghai went into the community and focused on publicizing financial knowledge such as popularizing pension financial knowledge, preventing financial fraud, and identifying illegal financial advertisements to elderly customers in the community. It reminded elderly customers to be wary of false propaganda such as "guaranteed capital and high returns", which effectively improved the Risk prevention awareness and financial literacy of financial consumers.
"Popularize basic rights and protect a good consumer environment" is also one of the themes of this year's Financial Knowledge Tour. Shanghai Bank targets the new urban citizen groups and increases the awareness of consumers' rights to property security, rights to know, rights to independent choices, rights to fair transactions, and legal requirements.
