On the evening of the 6th Beijing time, the final of the 2023 Women's Volleyball Asian Championships was held in Khorat, Thailand. The Chinese women's volleyball team unfortunately lost 2-3 to the Thai women's volleyball team and won the runner up. The five game scores are 21:25, 27:25, 19:25, 25:20, and 14:16.
In the first game of the picture, the Thai team took the lead and entered the first technical pause with an 8-5 lead. The backward Chinese women's volleyball team strengthened their serve in the hope of destroying the opponent's pass, but the Thai team's attacking and defensive strength was not bad, and the difference between the two sides gradually widened. The Chinese women's volleyball team lost the first game with a score of 21:25.
In the second round, the score between the two sides remained tight at the beginning. After the first technical pause, the Chinese women's volleyball team's offensive performance was not ideal, while the Thai team's momentum became increasingly strong. At the end of the game, the Chinese women's volleyball team did not give up and scored continuously, bringing the score back to 24 and equalizing the big score with 27:25.
In the third round of the picture, both sides return to the same starting line. The Chinese women's volleyball team is gradually finding its form and continuously gaining points through blocking. In the middle of the game, the score between the two teams got stuck again. The Thai team seized the mistake made by the Chinese women's volleyball team and won another game with a score of 25-19.
In the fourth round, the Chinese women's volleyball team stabilized their mentality, leading the way and gradually widening the score, once again equalizing the big score with a score of 25:20.
In the decisive game, the competition between the two teams became even more intense. At a critical moment, the Thai team's serve score reached the match point, and the Chinese women's volleyball team was suspended. But in the end, the Chinese women's volleyball team unfortunately lost the game 14:16.
At this year's Asian Championships, the Chinese women's volleyball team aimed to train new players and sent out a lineup mainly composed of young players. In the group stage, the Chinese women's volleyball team defeated Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Kazakhstan, advancing to the quarterfinals with a record of three wins.
In the semi-finals, the Chinese women's volleyball team first defeated India completely, and then reversed Japan. In the semi-finals against Vietnam, the girls chased after the victory and eliminated their opponents 3-0. After 2015, they returned to the final of the Asian Championships after an 8-year hiatus.
According to the rules, the top three teams in the Asian Championships will receive admission tickets to the World Championships. While winning a silver medal, the Chinese women's volleyball team will also advance directly to the 2025 World Championships.
Through the experience of this competition, the Chinese women's volleyball team has effectively trained its lineup, adding a guarantee for the upcoming Olympic qualifiers and Asian Games.
The main players of the Chinese women's volleyball team are currently preparing intensively for these two events. Coach Cai Bin previously stated that after returning from the World Women's Volleyball League, the training intensity of the players has been continuously improving.
