The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection website published an article stating that the anti-corruption situation remains grim and complex, the stock of corruption has not been completely eliminated, the increase in corruption is still occurring, and the manifestations are various. Corruption has become invisible and mutated, the means have been renewed and upgraded, traditional corruption and new corruption are intertwined, and corrupt behavior is more hidden and complex, etc. These problems fully demonstrate that the soil and conditions for corruption have not been completely eradicated. We must deeply understand the long-term, complex and arduous nature of the anti-corruption struggle, continue to maintain strategic determination, and prevent the idea of "achieving success in one battle."
To advance the anti-corruption struggle without stopping, we must both "fight tigers" and "swat flies"; to advance the anti-corruption struggle without stopping, we must continue to work hard and advance in depth to eliminate the soil and conditions for the breeding of corruption.
As the Chinese saying goes, "When sailing against the current, you must row hard. If you relax your effort, you will be pushed back thousands of miles." At present, the fight against corruption has entered deep waters. We must have a clear understanding of the new situation and new trends in the fight against corruption, and the soil and conditions for corruption to breed. With the tenacity and perseverance of always being on the road, we must exert precise and continuous efforts to resolutely win the tough and protracted battle against corruption.
