Involving large Chinese high-tech companies, the EU has released the strictest digital regulatory list
EU announces the list of strictest digital regulations
On September 6 local time, the European Union announced that six large high-tech companies, including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and ByteDance, were listed as the first batch of services subject to the Digital Market Act. This list will list some "gatekeepers", namely technology giants in an absolute monopoly position. These companies will bear the obligations stipulated in the Digital Markets Act, such as not abusing their market dominance to suppress or acquire competitors, and establishing links with competitors.
It is reported that this law is the largest digital regulatory law in the history of Europe and America, aimed at curbing the monopoly of large technology companies and requiring them not to abuse their market dominance to suppress or acquire competitors, not to forcefully push advertisements or install software without user permission, etc. Otherwise, they will face a fine of up to 10% of revenue.
