Describe the development landscape of green services, the Service Trade Fair
Entering the National Sports Center, green elements can be seen everywhere. This year, the China International Fair for Trade in Services launched a special exhibition on environmental services for the first time with the National Stadium as the main venue, setting up four special zones: low-carbon energy, carbon neutrality and green technology, climate and carbon economy, and circular economy. In addition, a low-carbon technology travel zone was also set up in Shougang Park, showcasing the latest achievements and technological applications in the global environmental services field in a "one exhibition, two locations" manner.
In the Carbon Neutrality and Green Technology Zone, staff from Italian company Calioma introduced the flagship product of this exhibition - integrated gas radiation heating belt. This product is mainly used for heating systems in high-rise buildings. Compared to traditional heating methods, it will save 45% to 70% of energy consumption. It has been used in many large venues and factories both domestically and internationally.
Kaliouma Company has been participating in the Service Trade Fair since last year. Yang Siping, the General Manager of the company's China region, stated that some customers had previously purchased Kaliouma's products, but due to improper operation and maintenance, the products were unable to achieve maximum energy-saving benefits. "This made us realize that we should transform from a single manufacturing enterprise to a service-oriented enterprise, and our services should also cover the entire process of venue design, daily application guidance, and maintenance management." Yang Siping said that by participating in the Service Trade Fair, the company not only shared its development philosophy with customers, but also met many new partners. "With the deepening of low-carbon concepts in various industries, there is great potential for clean and low-carbon transformation in the construction industry. The company will prepare for this with technology and services."
Walking through various exhibition halls of the Service Trade Fair, a clear feeling is that "green" and "low-carbon" are not limited to a single exhibition area, but run through all aspects of various industries. The International Bamboo and Vine Organization showcases a variety of bamboo products under the theme of "Replacing Plastics with Bamboo, Reducing Plastics and Reducing Carbon"; Nestle shared its carbon reduction actions in sustainable packaging, new energy logistics, and other areas; Wuliangye Group has brought a wastewater biogas power generation plan to reduce pollution and carbon emissions. Through independently developed new gas power generation units, the biogas produced by anaerobic fermentation in the factory wastewater station is converted into electricity, achieving synergistic efficiency in pollution reduction and carbon reduction... The exhibition hall is also filled with signs of "zero carbon service shared by people". Visitors can join the green action by scanning the QR code and obtain the "Carbon Neutrality Certificate of the Service Trade Fair".
The cutting-edge achievements in green services, technology, and business models brought by exhibitors from various countries highlight that green has become a significant trend in the global service industry and service trade. As the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Ibrahimovic, said in her opening speech, "The service industry is crucial for the economy to transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable future. From low-carbon transportation such as carpooling and bike sharing, to better management and storage of wind and solar energy, green services will become a key part of addressing climate challenges."
The "lush green" service trade fair depicts the development landscape of green services. During the exhibition, more than 30 forums were held on topics such as empowering industrial development, carbon markets, and green cities with the dual carbon goals. Chinese and foreign guests discussed the opportunities and challenges of green development together, and the role of China in global green transformation and development became a hot topic of discussion.
"Since the proposal of the dual carbon goals, China's achievements in promoting green economic transformation have won widespread praise from the international community." Zhao Baiji, Chairman of PwC China and Asia Pacific, stated that China has actively promoted international cooperation in various fields such as global climate governance, green industry development, and biodiversity conservation, contributing wisdom and strength to global sustainable development.
