The Jinwangjia Village Site is located on the south side of Zhongwu Avenue and the east side of Jinling South Road in Tianning District.
From the existing excavation situation, no related relics dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties have been found in this area, mainly tombs from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Early tombs may have been distributed in the area from the north side of the Grand Canal to the south side of Changzhou Ancient City.
It is understood that in the past five years, more than 50 new archaeological sites of different periods have been discovered in cooperation with the basic construction of Changzhou City, and nearly 10000 specimens of various cultural relics have been unearthed. Changzhou's archaeological achievements are remarkable and breakthroughs have been made repeatedly.
In 2020, all six important archaeological discoveries in the province were made in Changzhou. The excavation project won the third prize of the 2020 Jiangsu Province Field Archaeology Award; The lacquered coffin with vivid and elegant four elephant patterns unearthed from the tomb of Lady Yu of the Southern Song Dynasty in Jintan is a successful laboratory archaeological attempt.
