On September 5, Nanfang Plus and other media reported that there were live cattle in Dongguan that had been irrigated into the slaughterhouse. The Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and Government attached great importance to it and acted quickly. They immediately organized relevant departments to go to the "live cattle irrigation dens" in the Seven sisters Hill, Hetian Community, Houjie Town. Nancheng Branch of Dongguan Food Co., Ltd. conducted on-site investigation and disposal. All the live cattle urine samples were negative. At present, five personnel including Li, the supplier of live cattle, have been controlled by the public security organ, and the live cattle slaughtering business of Nancheng Branch of Dongguan Food Co., Ltd. has been suspended.
According to the investigation, all the live cattle provided by Mr. Li and others were purchased from Hengli Cattle Shop in Dongguan City. After forced irrigation of the live cattle in a farm in the Seven sisters Hill, Hetian Community, Houjie Town, they were sent to Nancheng Branch of Dongguan Food Co., Ltd. for slaughter, and the meat was sold to Dongguan, Guangzhou and other places. On the afternoon of September 5th, relevant departments quickly conducted a comprehensive investigation and interception of the relevant meat products, and sent them to Dongguan Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Supervision and Testing Institute for testing. After the test results were issued, they will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law. At the same time, a law enforcement inspection team was dispatched to conduct detailed inspections on the verification and inspection of products, "lean meat powder" testing, and meat quality inspection of four beef and mutton slaughtering enterprises in the city, ensuring that relevant slaughtering enterprises are managed in a standardized manner. Starting from September 6th, Dongguan will further strengthen the control of entry, slaughtering, and exit gates for cattle, sheep, and pigs. By implementing "point-to-point" transportation management between Hengli cattle and slaughtering enterprises, supervising slaughtering enterprises to strictly implement their main responsibilities for food safety, implementing closed-loop management of transportation vehicles, and enhancing their video based information supervision capabilities, measures will be taken to effectively improve the food safety supervision mechanism.
Food safety is no small matter. The Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and Government have always adhered to the development concept of putting the people at the center, and have implemented "zero tolerance" for behaviors that endanger food safety.
