2023 Service Trade Fair | China independently develops high-precision positioning technology satellites for super high-rise buildings | Accuracy | China
Beijing, September 5th (Xinhua) - What is the relationship between a satellite in the sky and a skyscraper rising from the ground? At the 2023 Service Trade Fair, China's independently developed super high-rise Beidou high-precision satellite positioning receiver made its debut.

"A square inch display of supernatural powers. Don't underestimate this blue box the size of a stationery box. With it, the elevation ranging accuracy of a kilometer tall building can reach 150000 parts, and the plane error of a 600 meter tall building can be reduced to 2 millimeters." Zhang Shengliang, a director of the China Surveying and Mapping Society and a surveying and mapping expert from the China Construction First Bureau, held the high-precision Beidou satellite positioning receiver of a super tall building in his palm and told reporters at a special exhibition on engineering consulting and architectural services.
During construction, the accuracy of building positioning measurement directly affects whether the building is skewed, affecting the quality and safety of the entire building. The precise positioning of super high-rise buildings has always been a challenge in the industry worldwide.

Zhang Shengliang explained, "During construction, super tall buildings over 300 meters are often more affected by complex environments such as strong winds, heavy rain, and turbulence, and are prone to more severe building swaying. If traditional measuring instruments are used, the height of the measurement is limited, and the swing amplitude of the building is too large, which not only increases the difficulty of positioning, but also generates significant cumulative errors, leading to building deviation."
Nowadays, China's independently developed high-precision positioning technology has innovatively expanded the application of satellite technology in construction, overcoming the problem of high-precision construction in super high-rise buildings. "This blue box can receive signals from satellites at known positions, and the high-precision algorithm introduced can perform precise analysis on the received data, obtain accurate position coordinates, and be free from factors such as floor height, environment, and shaking," said Zhou Yuqi, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of China Construction First Bureau Construction and Development Company.

The high-precision and stable positioning measurement has achieved high-precision construction of the world's super high-rise office building, Shenzhen Ping An Financial Center. The Shenzhen Ping An Financial Center has applied this technology to achieve a positioning accuracy of "600 meters high, 2 millimeters", and an elevation ranging accuracy of up to 150000. At present, this "Chinese intelligent manufacturing" has gone abroad.
