ASTANA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- On the afternoon of July 3 local time, President Xi Jinping met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov before attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Astana.
Xi Jinping pointed out that in May last year, we held fruitful talks in Xi'an and reached many consensuses on China-Kyrgyzstan relations and cooperation in various fields between the two countries. Over the past year, these consensuses have been effectively implemented, and good news about China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation has been heard frequently. Relatives wish each other well, and neighbors wish each other well. China is happy to see a stable and developing Kyrgyzstan, and will, as always, firmly support Kyrgyzstan in safeguarding its national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and firmly support Kyrgyzstan in finding a development path that suits its national conditions. China is willing to deepen the docking of development strategies with Kyrgyzstan, expand exchanges of experience in state governance, promote all-round mutually beneficial cooperation, and advance the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Kyrgyzstan.
Xi Jinping stressed that the two sides should open up new ideas, promote the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" cooperation to go deeper and more practical, expand economic, trade and investment cooperation, enhance the level of connectivity, and expand new quality productivity cooperation. China is willing to import more high-quality green agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan, support Chinese companies to invest and start businesses in Kyrgyzstan, strengthen cooperation in new energy vehicles, cross-border e-commerce and other fields, and accelerate the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project. The two sides should give full play to the role of platforms such as the Kyrgyzstan Traditional Chinese Medicine Center, the Chinese Cultural Center, and the Luban Workshop, and cultivate more successors to the friendly cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan. China is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, continue to improve and strengthen the China-Central Asia mechanism, and ensure that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization develops in the right direction that is in line with the common interests of all parties.

Zhaparov said that he still remembers his visit to China in May last year, which opened a new era for China-Kyrgyzstan relations. At present, the political relations between Kyrgyzstan and China are developing at a high level, the departments of the two countries maintain close communication, local exchanges and cooperation are booming, and bilateral trade and investment are growing steadily. In the face of major changes in the world that have not been seen in a century, the relationship between Kyrgyzstan and China has always been as solid as a rock, and there are no political differences or obstacles to cooperation between the two countries. Kyrgyzstan firmly adheres to the one-China principle, welcomes more Chinese companies to invest in Kyrgyzstan, and will provide a good business environment for Chinese companies. It is hoped that the two sides will work together to promote the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project and strengthen multilateral communication and cooperation such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
