Jiaxing is close to Shanghai, which can be said to be geographically close, popular and economically integrated. When General Secretary Xi Jinping was working in Zhejiang, he gave Jiaxing the important mission of being a "bridgehead" to Shanghai and a "gateway" to Shanghai's radiation. In 2017, Jiaxing was approved to establish a demonstration zone for Zhejiang Province’s comprehensive integration with Shanghai; in 2019, after the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta was elevated to a national strategy, Jiaxing took full integration into the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta as the first strategy to promote high-quality development, promoting Shanghai-Jiaxing Cooperation has achieved a series of new progress and new results. Chen Wei: In 2022, the 15th Party Congress of Zhejiang Province gave Jiaxing a new positioning and new mission of "building an important central city in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration", guiding Jiaxing to accelerate its transformation from "based on the entire province" to "looking at the Yangtze River Delta" , transforming from "undertaking spillover effects" to "actively radiating to the outside world", and reshaping from "service support" to "regional strategic center", raising Jiaxing's development to a new strategic height. Building an important central city in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is a systematic project. Jiaxing will focus on the four key supports of strengthening the city through transportation, strengthening the city through smart manufacturing and innovation, improving the primacy of the central city, and high-level urban-rural integration. At present, Jiaxing is accelerating the formation of three "half-hour traffic circles" at intercity, urban and urban areas and a "1-hour commuting circle" in the central area of ​​the Yangtze River Delta, becoming an important hub in the Yangtze River Delta. Last year, Jiaxing completed comprehensive transportation investment of 41.2 billion yuan, an increase of 64.6%, ranking second in Zhejiang Province and setting a record. At the beginning of last year, we proposed that the cumulative comprehensive transportation investment in five years would exceed 200 billion yuan. Only in this way can we truly give full play to Jiaxing's location advantages and strive to build a "road, rail, water and air" intermodal transport hub.

Among them, Jiaxing is accelerating the construction of "Jiaxing on the Rails". Currently, the "333" urban railway development pattern of 3 to Shanghai, 3 to Hangzhou, and 3 within the city is accelerating. At the same time, the Sujia-Ningbo High-speed Railway and the Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Connection Project are being formed. The high-speed rail is accelerating, and the Jiaxing hub is about to emerge; in terms of the Haihe River intermodal transport hub, Jiaxing has the unique advantages of the front sea and the Houhe River. Jiaxing Port is an important cooperation port with the Shanghai Port. At the same time, it is transforming the thousand-ton waterway in the inland river to enhance the Haihe River intermodal transport capacity; in aviation In terms of logistics hubs, Jiaxing is advancing the construction of Jiaxing Nanhu Airport at full speed and vigorously developing the airport economy.

Chen Wei: In Jiaxing’s development blueprint, the airport is the “tipping point” and “golden wings” of future development. Relevant data shows that taking Jiaxing as the dot, a 2-hour flight can cover an area that accounts for 90% of China's GDP, and a 3-hour flight can cover the world's 1.2 billion people. The aviation logistics market has huge potential and outstanding business cost advantages. At present, the runway of Jiaxing Nanhu Airport has begun to take shape, and the goal is to be completed and put into operation in 2025. By 2035, the passenger throughput will reach 4 million, and the cargo and mail throughput will reach 1.23 million tons.

Jiaxing Nanhu Airport has its own characteristics - it mainly focuses on cargo transportation and also serves as a passenger transportation. The Yangtze River Delta has a dense manufacturing industry and a huge demand for air transportation. In particular, high value-added products that are small in size and require high timeliness are more suitable for air transportation, such as electronic information, integrated circuits, biomedicine and other products. In the future, airports will become "magnetic fields" , providing surrounding areas with a convenient window and channel connecting the country and the world, empowering and promoting the development of more industries, while introducing more high-end seafood, aquatic products, fruits and other global goods to satisfy people's yearning for a better life.

Chen Wei: Jiaxing has gained a lot by connecting with Shanghai. First, 10 projects including the Shanghai-Zhaxing-Hangzhou line and the Jiaxing-Fengnan line have been included in the "Multi-level Rail Transit Plan for the Yangtze River Delta Region", and 19 adjacent bus lines between Shanghai and Jiaxing have been opened, allowing more cross-provincial commuters to become a "twin city" as a "same city"; second, Jiaxing deepens the construction of cross-regional industrial cooperation parks such as the Haining Division of Shanghai Caohejing Development Zone, and deepens supporting cooperation with Shanghai's integrated circuits, new energy vehicles and other industrial chain supply chains; third, it realizes mutual exchanges with Shanghai Innovation Vouchers Through recognition and interoperability, there are currently more than 1,600 innovative institutions in Shanghai that can provide more than 3,700 services to Jiaxing; fourth, they jointly promote direct settlement of outpatient medical treatment in the Yangtze River Delta. There are 165 qualified designated medical institutions and 139 designated medical institutions with inpatient services in Jiaxing. All medical institutions in the Yangtze River Delta have opened direct settlement for outpatient and inpatient medical treatment in other places. At the same time, they have reached a cooperation intention with 112 experts on the "Famous Doctors Come to Jiaxing", allowing the people of Jiaxing to enjoy high-quality medical resources at their doorstep.
