Wang Dufu was approved to be appointed as chairman of ICBC AXA Life Insurance Company after nearly a year and a half.
On May 22, ICBC AXA Life Insurance Co., Ltd. issued an announcement stating that according to the resolution of the 43rd meeting of the company’s shareholders meeting and approved by the State Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau, starting from May 13, 2024, Wangdu Fu serves as the chairman and executive director of ICBC-AXA Life Insurance.
This position has been vacant for a long time. In December 2022, ICBC AXA Life announced that Ma Jian would no longer serve as chairman and executive director of the company due to job changes.
In fact, at the beginning of this year, Wang Dufu became the Party Secretary of ICBC-AXA Life Insurance. Wang Dufu was born in 1971. Before this job adjustment, he was the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and deputy president of the Beijing Branch of ICBC.
The resume shows that Wang Dufu started working and joined the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in August 1993. He successively served as deputy director and director of the Second Secretariat Division of the ICBC Office, deputy director of the ICBC Office, and deputy director of the Party Committee Office; he went to the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in July 2011. Jiangsu Branch, successively served as Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Branch, Vice President and Party Committee Member of Jiangsu Branch and President and Party Committee Secretary of Nanjing Branch; in March 2016, he served as Deputy General Manager of the Bank Card Business Department and Peony Card Center of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Executive Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. In December 2016, he was promoted to General Manager of the Bank Card Business Department of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and President of the Peony Card Center and Secretary of the Party Committee. From May 2021, he will be appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Beijing Branch.
In addition to the chairman adjustment, ICBC-AXA Life Insurance President Wu Qian will also make new changes in the near future. On May 9, Wang Hailu, chairman of ICBC Wealth Management Co., Ltd., resigned due to job changes. Her next stop will be the general manager of ICBC's financial markets department. After Wang Hailu leaves office, Wu Qian is expected to take over ICBC Financial Management.

She joined the Head Office of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in August 1995 and served successively as Deputy Director of the System Finance Department of the Planning and Finance Department of the Head Office and Director of the Finance Department of Overseas and Directly Affiliated Institutions; 2006 Since September 2010, he has served as the Director of the Finance Department of Overseas and Directly Affiliated Institutions of the Head Office’s Financial and Accounting Department, and the Director of the Financial Management Center of the Head Office; since 2010, he has served as the Deputy General Manager of the Finance and Accounting Department of the Head Office. In August 2015, Wu Qian joined ICBC AXA Life Insurance and served successively as chief financial officer, head of finance, deputy secretary of the party committee, and president.
