These young pioneers offer advice on what to do if your stomach growls in the afternoon... focus on campus life and observe social governance
What should I do if my stomach growls in the afternoon while studying at school? Shan Chenjie, a fourth-year student at Fudan Primary School in Changning District, focused on campus life and brought a proposal on promoting afternoon energy supply for primary school students.
The preparatory meeting for the Ninth Shanghai Young Pioneers Congress held today opened a representative channel for the first time. Focusing on campus life, observing social governance, and paying attention to the construction of child-friendly cities... the 10 team members spoke for children with their own proposals and suggestions.
"For those of us who are in the process of physical growth, adequate nutrition and energy are the key to supporting physical growth and brain development. After the implementation of 'after-school services', our time in school has been extended and our energy needs have become stronger." Shan Chen Jie felt that daily physical exercise in school consumes energy, and most students also participate in school after-school services and loving evening care. When hunger strikes, it is easy to become unmotivated from studying. "To this end, he proposed to arrange a "campus afternoon tea". The school uniformly provides food that meets nutritional and hygienic standards, such as whole wheat bread, oatmeal biscuits, milk, yogurt, etc. The meal fee can be appropriately increased to prevent the stomach from rumbling in the afternoon. Gum, everyone can concentrate on studying.
If "Campus Afternoon Tea" is really implemented, the school management may be faced with the problem of generating garbage that affects the class environment. Any suggestions? Shan Chenjie suggested that special trash cans can be set up for the garbage generated by afternoon tea and combined with garbage classification education. At the same time, the arrangement of afternoon tea can also be combined with labor education, setting up labor posts or supervisors to distribute snacks and clean the class to keep the classroom tidy.
Teenagers and children begin to observe and think about social governance. Focusing on promoting the brand culture of domestic products, Zhu Yichen, a student at Jing'an District No. 3 Central Primary School, proposed setting up a "Children's Open Day". His memory of "Chinese time-honored brands" stems from the delicious pastries his grandmother took him to buy when he was in kindergarten. Many team members around him also like domestic brands. Zhu Yichen suggested that domestic brand companies can set up "children's open days" to launch on-site visits, learning exchanges, trial experiences and other activities for children to enhance understanding and recognition. "We can set up time-honored brand awareness courses in schools. At home, we can also let parents give priority to buying domestic products, and listen to the elderly tell more stories about Chinese time-honored brands, so as to stimulate children's pride in domestic brands."
Zou Jinyue, a student at Shanghai Shiwai Primary School, has set his sights on the park. Shanghai has 832 parks, including 477 city parks, but the number of children's theme parks is very small. "Cycling, skateboarding and roller skating are not allowed in some parks, tents are not allowed for camping, and lawns are not allowed." Shanghai has become the first municipality in the country to promote the construction of a child-friendly city across the country. Can the park be made more child-friendly? In this regard, she proposed that children's theme parks can be appropriately constructed in newly built city parks and suburban parks, and children's activity areas can be set up in existing parks to add places for water play, sand play, roller skating, skateboarding, etc. Integrate green science popularization, nature education and interactive experiences. "When adding child-friendly activity areas, you can listen to our opinions and suggestions to make the park truly a paradise for children."
