"The overall level of the students in this Red Story Creation Workshop is relatively high, and many students have published stories and novels."

The themes were rich and diverse, focusing on the joys and sorrows of small people, but also showing the heroic deeds of revolutionary ancestors in the torrent of the times. There are stories about young students who pawned family heirlooms to raise funds for the liberation of Shanghai; there are stories about the Chen family brothers in the Yangpu shanty town who embarked on a common revolutionary path in different ways; there are stories about underground party member Jiang Tiyun persuading his traitorous boss to join the anti-Japanese team; It writes about the fate of famous opera actors at the crossroads of life; one writes about the victorious troops who successfully entered the city and stayed on the streets overnight... "Through these stories, we can recall the red memories and those turbulent years given to us by this heroic city." Ge Mingming said. .

This year’s red story creation workshop has given her a lot of help. “We learned how to perform artistic processing and where the degree of artistic processing is. We learned when to write realistically, When do you have to write falsely, the story will be interesting.”

"Today is the first time I heard a 'story'." Kong Xiangjun, director of the Shanghai Liberation Memorial Hall, listened to "First Ray of Dawn" composed by Ge Mingming and narrated by You Wei. He was told by Zou Fanyang, an underground party member, that he immediately told the story through the radio station. The story of the People's Liberation Army's entry into Shanghai was deeply affecting to all citizens. "The daily explanations at the Shanghai Liberation Memorial Hall focus on historical facts, and many story details are difficult to unfold in depth on site. How to dig out the exciting content other than the commentary and tell it to the audience better? We are working with the Shanghai Folk Literature and Artists Association, Shanghai Municipal Government When planning the Mass Art Museum, everyone unanimously thought of a way to combine folk stories with red content. "Kong Xiangjun said that this event organized relevant creators to come to the Shanghai Liberation Memorial Hall to collect information and discover some unknown aspects of Shanghai's liberation history. Short stories, through the processing and interpretation of folk tale artists, allow these stories to be heard and understood by more citizens, allowing citizens to have a more intuitive and in-depth understanding of this history.

It is reported that the stories created by the workshop students will be handed over to a group of storytellers for secondary creation.
