This year marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Shanghai. As the "Northern Gate" of Shanghai, Baoshan was the main battlefield in the battle to liberate Shanghai. The People's Liberation Army that liberated Shanghai had a total of 10 corps, including 5 corps, the 26th Army, the 28th Army, the 29th Army, the 33rd Army, and the 25th Army, fighting fiercely in the Baoshan area. At 9 o'clock in the morning, in the Baoshan Martyrs Cemetery, accompanied by the profound "Flower Presenting Song", more than a hundred people from all walks of life, including descendants of the East China Field Army in the Shanghai Liberation Campaign, paid homage to the "Monument of Blood - the Wall of Honor of the Martyrs of the Liberation of Shanghai" and presented flowers to the martyrs' monument. Remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Shanghai, and appreciate the great spirit of the revolutionary martyrs who fought tirelessly to achieve national independence and liberation.
On the same day, the Shanghai Liberation Memorial Hall, together with the Shanghai Anti-Japanese War Research Association, the Shanghai Chinese Communist Party History Association, and the Shanghai New Fourth Army History Research Association, jointly held a historical discussion and achievement sharing meeting titled "City Rebirth - Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai." Descendants of generals such as the son of the heroic regiment leader Hu Wenjie, more than ten experts and scholars in the field of liberation history and party history, as well as citizens and friends who signed up, jointly dug into the historical details of liberation, takeover and the construction of Shanghai in the early days of liberation, and elaborated on the liberation of Shanghai Historical significance and contemporary value, feel the lofty ideals and perseverance of the revolutionary predecessors, and pay tribute to the people's heroes and the people's unremitting efforts for the city's rebirth.
Part of the manuscript of the Shanghai liberation-themed comic strip "The Battle Before Dawn" was unveiled for the first time at the conference. The comic book manuscript was created by the Shanghai Liberation Memorial Hall and the Shanghai Shanghai Comic Book Center. Each vivid ink painting shows the revolutionary process and touching stories of the Communist Party of China, the People's Liberation Army and the broad masses of the people who fought for the liberation and freedom of this city 75 years ago.
In order to fully implement the new era military education policy and establish a mechanism for local red education venues and colleges to jointly educate people, Baoshan Martyrs Cemetery, Shanghai Liberation Memorial Hall and the Grassroots Political Work Department of the National Defense University Political College signed a joint education and training agreement.
As one of the series of activities to "carry forward the revolutionary spirit and inherit the red gene" to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Shanghai, the red culture into campus activity was launched on May 23 at Baoshan District Experimental Primary School.
